I have created this weeks page for Location Location. You can find all the info here at Scrapz
We had to scrap about "inside my handbag".
LOL now that was a bit scary, you never know what you will find inside my bag...
We also had to include a credit card/gift card or something similar, something found inside our bag and something shiny. Here is my page...
I used an old gift card, a buckle that I found at the bottom of my bag from a pair of pants (never fixed the pants as I thought I had lost the buckle, lol) and the shiny items are the metal embellishments. The journaling reads 'my hubby says I carry everything in my handbag even the kitchen sink'.
Has you can see from the contents photo I carry lots of things from perfume, point and shoot camera, hand sanitizer, sewing repair kit, plastic bag and resus mask, as well the usual things as well.
I used some of my older stash on this page. Really have to start culling out lots of my older paper, have way to much!

Location Location
Round 4 was to scrap about the inside of our cars. I decided to scrap some photos about 'King' my youngest daughter's dog who just loves to ride in the back of my hubby's convertible with the roof down.
We had to include 2 or more photos, a map or part of and a car. So here is my page.
Just love the cute little Prima car rubon I found in my stash. Seeing has the Google map I printed off the internet was blue and orange I decided to go with those colours, which I think worked very well with this layout.
Head on over to Scrapz for all the details of this comp.
Next up I would like to share lots of digital layouts I have created for challenges over at Soul Scrappers.
All challenges over at Soul Scrappers are open to traditional, digital and hybrid scrappers, so why not pop on over and check them out. There is lots of inspiration to be found on the site.
Thanks for stopping by :)

August Lesson
for another page in our album 'my place in the sun', you can find out all the details over at Scrap beginnings.
This month it is all about beautiful nature. The flowers, trees, sunset, sunrise etc
I have done a page on the flowers in my garden.
I kept it simple so that the photos are the main feature. I am hoping to get another page done about the sunsets.

What's on your plate!
Sunday roast was my photo for round 3 'on my plate' of the Location Location competition over at Scrapz.
We have to use a title made from food packaging, eating utensils and 30 or more journaling words.
So here is my page...
I cut the words '...it's a nutritious taste sensation' from a milo cereal box. The green background is a bit bright but I think it makes it stand out more on the page.
Journaling reads 'Sunday roast...it's a nutritious taste sensation yah, yah, yah. What could be better than that! Every Sunday I cook a roast just for my hubby who leaves on Monday for the week. I just want to make the last meal of the week something special for us all...'
There is still time for you to enter. Each week there is a prize and at the end of the 8 week competition there is a major prize. This comp is great!

Location Location
Round 2 is to scrap about our wardrobes...eeek! That is what I thought.
Mine always looks like a bomb has gone off in it, even after I have cleaned it out, lol...
So after taking multiple photos (the benefit of having a digital camera right) to get the right angle so my little walk in robe looked half decent, I finally got a photo I was reasonably happy with.
So here is my page for the second challenge.
We had to include pegs or coat hangers, material and buttons. I had the dresses with my material for something a little different and I had these cute mini buttons and pegs in stash so decided to use these. I used Graphic 45 papers kit 'Fashionista' for this layout. The journaling reads "My wardrobe is not much to look at. It doesn't have the latest fashions hanging in it and it always looks like a bomb has gone of in it..."

Now To Show You...
the page I created for week 1 for the competition over at Scrapz.
The comp runs for 8 weeks and each week a challenge is set by the DT's. There are weekly winners and then there will be major prizes at the end of the competition.
So here is my completed page for week 1. ÓOPS! What's for dinner? It's in the basket.
We had to scrap about what was in our shopping trolley's or baskets. I went with basket and I an tell you it was rather embarrassing taking a photo in the supermarket, I pretended to be text messaging on my phone after checking the isle to make sure nobody was around, lol!
So now to start on week 2. We have to scrap about our wardrobes, eek!!!
Mine looks like a bomb has gone off in it, lol!

Guess What!
I have been scrapping that is traditional paper scrapping, after all this time I finally got my creative juices flowing and started creating.
Here is a little peak of what I created today...
Now the photo was taken on my iphone so please excuse the quality of the photo.
Will be able to show you the whole page shortly.
Now for some digital pages I have created. All of these are for challenges over at Soul Scrappers
This page is for Jami 'theme challenge' in the news. We had to scrap about a news event. I was listening to the news and they had just announced that Margaret Olley had passed away, so scrapped about her.
Next up is a page for my 'quote challenge', I picked a Dr. Suess quote which was so appropriate for scrapping a page about my youngest son.
For Debi 'negative space challenge' I created this page. Debi also had a sketch for us to use, I did alter the sketch a bit to sure my scrapping style.
Kris's digital challenge was to create a page about a milestone in our lives, so I scrapped about getting my nursing diploma at 45.
Next up is my page for Mary's colour challenge, so loved using these colours together.
And for the last one to share, this page was for a sketch challenge. Not sure if I like the grid design but I do love the photos of my youngest grand daughter Mia.
Hope you like what I have been creating?

Another Page
For my album 'my place in the sun'.
For July the topic is to create a page or two about feathers, fur and fins.
So I have scrapped about the birds that are around our house. Some are so lovely and sweet but other I could gladly see the back end of for good. Take the pesty magpies they are forever on the veranda eating the cat food so we have to constantly keep the food covered much to the cat's disgust. And what about the plovers, so noisy and they chase you when they are nesting...well anyway here is my page.
Thanks for stopping by, much appreciate all your lovely comments :)

Where Does The Time Go?
I have been so busy lately, just can't seem to get a grip on this working 2 jobs. Plus have been babysitting my 2 grand daughters a bit lately. So you guessed it my scrapping has been virtually non-existent.
I have only got two layouts to share with you today and both of these are for Scrapbooking Haven.
Part of my DT kit included Glimmermist masks and mists so this is what I created using one mask and gumdrop mist...
oh and the butterfly has a few different coloured mist applied as well, nearly forgot that. Did some fussy cutting of Kaisercraft paper too. Don't you just hate it when you apply mist or paint and you page buckles, grrrrrrrrrrrr!!! For some reason this page I just couldn't flatten, used the phone book and all!
So next up I set a sketch challenge for this month over at Scrapbooking Haven, here is the sketch.
I decided to go with a A4 size layout.
Simple but jet very effective I think, just love the bright colours on the black background.
So that is all I have to share today. I am hoping to scrap some more soon, keeping fingers crossed.

I Finally
Scrapped!!!
Well finished off the layout that has been sitting on my desk for the last 3 weeks, well I think it has been 3 weeks, anyway it has been ages...
So here it is...
Hopefully my scrapping dry spell has broken now... that is my traditional scrapping dry spell I have been doing some digital pages which I will share with you all now.
All these digital pages are for challenges over at Soul Scrappers.
For my quote challenge...
For Shazza's Ebony and Ivory challenge...
For Mary's word challenge...
And for Jami's theme challenge...
I have been culling lots of stuff around the house lately, gosh you just forget how much stuff that gets put to the back of the cupboards. Our wall unit was about 28 years old and the other day while dusting it I noticed that pieces were fall off it, so yesterday I emptied it all out. Found staff I forgot I had, like 2 dinner sets that were given to us as a wedding present, lol...and the wall unit has gone to the dump now (a bit sad to see it go has my parents gave it to us as a wedding present). Now I have this space along one wall that is bare, DS keeps saying it looks odd. Next I want to start in the office/scrap room, it really need a good clean out. Hubby is totally shocked as he has always called me a hoarder and now I am getting rid of stuff left right and center. St Vincent's is going to love me when I take in all this surplus goodies, well I think there are lots of needy people out there that can use it instead of just throwing it in the bin, mind you lots did go in the bin...
Ok that is enough raving for now, hoping to do more scrapping tomorrow.
Until next time take care :)

With 2...
Jobs I am finding that I don't have as much time to scrap as I would like. I am hoping that things settle down after I get into a routine, here's keeping fingers crossed!
I do have a few digital pages to share. All of these are for challenges over at Soul Scrappers.
For Shazza's Lyric/Song challenge we had to use either a line or the title of John Farnham song ýou're the voice'. So this my page I created, I used a photo of my grand daughter Summah when she was a toddler and she was into making lots of noise.
Next is my layout for Jami's theme challenge 'Beach'. I used a photo from one of our Bali trips.
For Debi negative challenge sketch 1, Debi created a fantastic sketch and of course we had to have negative space. The photo is of my niece on her wedding day.
Next is my take on Erika's about me challenge. We had to create a page about someone we share a special bond. My sister and i have a special bond.
For Karen's sketch challenge I created this page using a photo of my oldest son when he was 3 years old and he was monkeying around while I was trying to take a photo of him.
Kris set the digital challenge and we were only allowed to use 2 other elements besides our base paper. Mia was so cute in this photo, I just had to use it with minimal distractions of other elements on the page.
So that is all the scrapping I have done lately.

Necessity is the mother of...
well that is the theme of the challenges set by the girls over at Scrapz this past week. There were 5 challenges set for this week but I only got to do 2.
I did the 'what's cooking' challenge set by Kerryn and Georgia's 'scrap it blind' challenge. I am really please with how both of my pages turned out. Well anyway here they are and see for yourself...
Scrapping will most likely be taking a back seat for a while for me. I got a phone call today and drum roll please...
I have gotten a second job
start on Tuesday with orientation. Had the interview for this job weeks ago but didn't think I got it so forgot all about it. Well you can imagine how much of a shock it was when I got the phone call today. I am every excited and nervous at the some time :)

Layers
It was my turn to do a post for Scrapbook Haven Blog.
I decided to post about adding layers to your layout. This is the sample page I created for this.
Has you can see lot of layers have been added for extra dimension. I even double punched butterflies and layered. Just love adding some matting to certain layers for extra interest. So simple yet so effective!

Three to Share...
I actually got three challenges done over atScrapz this week, woohoo!!!
All the challenges were based around the theme of 'Desperate Housewives'.
So first up is Sheree 'paint a rainbow' challenge, loved the mix of colours in this weeks palette.
We also had to scrap about what we do in a day, so I decided to scrap what happened on Friday 13th.
For Belinda's 'what's cooking' challenge, she asked for us to use a white title, journaling strips about what we would like to be doing instead of housework and to include the work housework in the journaling.
Don't you just love my pink spotty slippers :)
Georgia's noteworthy challenge was to create a multi use card, so a card that could be used for a lot of different occasions. So here is my card which can be used for a birthday, a get well, travel, to name a few...
