Look At This...

Colour and Words Challenge over at Aussie Scrap Source

So the details are...
to play you need to include all four colours from the colour palette in any proportions you like. You can team the colour palette up with neutrals such as black white and kraft.

Obviously they prefer to see aussie scrap source brands (basicgrey, cosmo cricket, heidi swapp, hambly, sei, pink paislee, scenic route … there’s heaps to choose from!) but it’s certainly not compulsory. They just want to help inspire you to get scrapping, and challenges like this can make you look at your stash in a different way.

The word is a prompt to inspire your theme – it can be, but doesn’t have to be part of your title.
Email your layouts to aussiedt@iinet.net.au by the specified deadlines for the challenges. They will share them in one big post, set up polls so you can vote for your favourites, and send out prize packs. what could be easier?!

So check out their blog for all the colour combos and words. These challenges runs until the end of June, the first challenge deadline date is 8th June, second is 15th, third is 22nd and the last on is 29th...

Happy...

I can not believe it....
I won two of the cybercrop challenges over at

I am so shocked, happy, dumb founded, ecstatic...woo hoo I still can't believe that I actually won 2 challenges...
Oh I suppose I better tell you which of my layout won...'I See' for Tanja's challenge & 'Sweet Girl' for Kellie's challenge.
It was a fantastic cybercrop to attend, thanks to Scrap A While for a wonderful time.
Well that is all for now, I know not much to share...I haven't been scrapping for the last few days which I am hoping to correct today, there are a few monthly challenges over at Ready, Set, Scrap
that I would like to get done but will see how I go.
So anyway keep safe,

Look See What I have Been Up Too....

Yep scrapping....I have a couple of layouts to share with you.
They are both for challenges over at ScrapAWhile.
This first one was for Tanj'a challenge 'what do I see', had to use stamps, single words to describe me. I used some of my old Making Memories foam stamps to create my flowers and then added these gorgeous Prima Artistry flowers to the centers. I do have to admit that this is one of my favorites to date. So anyway here it is....

The next one is for Alita's challenge. Now for this challenge I had to use an old photo so I selected one of my mum, which I know I have used before, so I changed it from black/white to sepia, which I toned down so it wasn't too brown (aged). Also had to use a quote, lots of embellishments and the worst was NO, yep NO patterned paper. So I scrapped a digi layout, here it is...

Loved the green/orange colour combo and those twigs that I added flowers to are gorgeous.
So that is what I have been creating. I am totally enjoying the amount of scrapping I am doing lately.
Oh another little bit of news I have to share, I have a job interview on Monday. So keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well, but the butterflies are already starting :( I haven't been for a job interview in years.
Well that is all for this post.

Out Of The Mouths Of Babes...

I had my grand daughter over last night has she was sleeping over. She was in my scrapping room with me while I finished a layout, I had also given her some paper, glue, stickers etc so she could create her own creation...well all of a sudden I hear 'oh man' then 'this just doesn't look right', she was so serious when she said it that I started to laugh....I am always saying this myself when I am creating a layout. I never thought that she would pick it up as she is only 3 years old...so it just goes to show they do listen to what we say.
Now for some awesome news....
I won second place over at RSS for the cybercrop challenges...woo hoo how great is this...I was totally shocked as I didn't enter all the challenges, I ran out of time...so my prize is a $30 scrap pack, how cool is that! Thanks RSS for putting on a fantastic cybercrop, I totally enjoyed myself, it was so much fun.
So take care until next time,

Here's Yet Another One...

I finished last night...I have a bit of a laugh when I looked at the finished layout it looks a bit like the last layout I just created. Oh well such is life. This one is also for this months cybercrop over at ScrapAWhile, Amanda's layout challenge, criteria was to use 3 photos of the same female subject, 4 or more embellishments, name the person as title, journal about the persons special qualities and to use a feminine colour scheme (had to be manly pink). So this is what I created...
Oh gosh it has gotten cold here, it is gotten overcast and I swear the temperature has dropped, I am sitting here at my computer shivering...oh that is it I am getting up and moving around so until next time...

Wow I Have Done...

another layout, boy am I on a roll or what, lol...I can just see my mojo is going to go on vacation again soon, it always does when I do lots of scrapping. So this one is for the May cybercrop over at ScrapAWhile, Kellie challenge was a blind scrap and this is what I created from her instructions.
I had a bit of an accident with the ink, I dropped the ink pot on my base paper thus I had to smudge more ink around the edges than I was going to do, well it turned out ok I think! Just love those Prima flowers, gorgeous! The MME die cut tag didn't really match but I liked it so what the heck I use it. So that is all for now until next time....
Keep Safe,

I Want...

these new Prima flowers when they are released in Aussie....
They are to die for, so gorgeous!
Have a look for yourself here to see what you think!
Oh I am drooling all over my computer here, lol.

Some Layouts To Share...

I have a few to share, I did these for the May cybercrop challenges over at Read, Set, Scrap. The theme for this months challenges are all based on movies.
This one was for the Little Rascal Challenge set by Rachel. Criteria was to use a photo of kids getting up to mischief, also a transparence, rubons and paper tearing. I loved the Kaisercraft paper I used here, gorgeous colours. I snapped these photos of Summah when she got into my make-up, she was 2 years old and the funny thing was she knew exactly what she was doing with the make-up, lol....
This next one is for the Forest Gump Challenge by Tracey. Criteria for this challenge: use the quote 'Life is like a box of chocolates' also one chocolate coloured patterned paper or embellishment and a photo that isn't picture perfect. I tried my hand at digi scrapbooking for this LO. I love the colours I used and the cardboard behind the photo. I also found these cool masks that I used over the photo.
The third one I have to share was for Horton Hears A Who! by Ann-Marie. Criteria was to use the quote 'a persons a person no matter how small'. I did another digi LO for this challenge, so loved this photo of Summah when she was 2 weeks old.
The final one to share was for Grease by Shell. Criteria for this challenge: a pic of your favourite star, ripped paper flowers min 5, font in 2 different colours. I did this one for a bit of fun, don't you just love Kermit the Frog....
Well that is all for now, still have a few more challenge to get done so hopefully tomorrow I will get a few more done seeing as I am stuck at home without a car again. Oldest daughter has borrowed my car this week while hers goes in to get the damage repaired from her accident. Then I am hoping mine will go in next week to get fixed from the cow sitting on it. So anyway house bound again so I should be able to get lots of scrapping done right....well will see!

Woo Hoo I Have...

been scrapping again...
I did this layout for the 'Shaping Up' challenge over at Crafting In Style.

It didn't turn out the way I had it pictured in my head, oh well I don't mind the end result.
Well I am so glad that everything has quietened down here after what happened on Monday. Boy if that is one day that I could wipe off the calender I would. Let me tell you briefly what happened...
My oldest daughter had a car accident, another car side swiped her, both grand daughter & daughter are fine than god! Then I get a phone call from my sister to tell me that my step dad was in hospital with a blocked bowel. She also told me that my great nephew who is aged 7 has a hernia which is going into his stomach, they have to operate. Then when I go into town to pick up my hubby's car the cost was $1300 and it still has work to be done on it tomorrow, so more money...oh this was the last draw I was ready to crawl under a rock and not come out.
So that was my day on Monday, so you can see why I wanted to wipe it out...
So anyway that is all for today.

A Cow Sat On My....

car!
Yes that is right a cow sat on my car, my Mazda RX8...
Hubby and I were coming home from shopping on Thursday night at 7.45pm and there was this cow in the middle of the road. We slowed right down and were doing 10km/hr to try and get past it. The stupid thing was running all over the road, weaving everywhere, next thing we know it's back legs gave out from under it and it sat on the side of my car.....I now have a damaged side panel.
We were so mad, how could this happen. How could this cow be out on the road.
So this coming week I have to get the insurance assessor to have a look at it. Well here are some photos of the damage...the lady at the insurance company had a good laugh when I told her a cow sat on my car.

I was so glad that we didn't hit it going any faster, would not like to think what would of happened even if my car has got 6 air bags.

Cabinet Whisperer...

Yes I know it is quirky title...well that was 1 of the selection criteria for one of the April cybercrop challenge over at Bon's Scraps.
So here is my take on the challenge....

The criteria was to use black/grey/pink/purple colors only, a quirky title, 1 photo, material & stitching. Well I think I covered everything, I made my tag out of material then inked it pink. I am not happy with the end result :( oh well it is done now.

I Can't Believe It...

Another one to share with you today...this is my entry for challenge 2 over at 123 Scrapbook for the April cybercrop.

This image isn't too good, I took it in my scrapping room as the sun had already set...I might take another photo of it tomorrow when the light is better.
I wasn't going to just use pink on the layout but it just happened, lol...
Went out for lunch today to a 50th Wedding Anniversary, yep my in-laws have celebrated their 50th. It was lovely seeing all the family together has my brother-in-law and his family live away. We had a lovely time catching up, eating and drinking way too much. I will upload photos soon as my youngest daughter lets me get them off her camera, dumb dumb here forgot her camera :(
Well that is all for today...

One To Share Today...

I did this one for the April cybercrop, Peta's sketch challenge over at Bon's Scraps. Well I had an image in my head of how I wanted it to turn out but I couldn't quiet get it onto the paper, but I am please with the the way it turned out anyway. Just love Basic Grey paper! I was a little upset with my Petaloo flowers , the self adhesive dots on the back came off the flowers which was a pain. I seem to have a real thing for brown colour combos at present, lol....

I am so glad I could finally get some scrapping done after attempting too all week...
Our dog King is still not doing to well, he isn't walking at all, he has 3 feet with stitches. He is also moaning a lot from all the pain he is in, so still waiting to see what will happen. He is going back to the vet this arvo so will see what they say.
Well anyway I am going to attempt another layout this afternoon, woo hoo...
