Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy New Year to all...

Then sing, young hearts that are full of cheer,

With never a thought of sorrow;

The old goes out, but the glad young year

Comes merrily in tomorrow...

December Daily Album

I finally finished my December Daily Album yesterday, all I have to do is add the photos and journaling. So here are a few photos of random pages...
The front cover...
I added clear acetate pages with either rubon, stickers or paper piecing. This page shows a cute glitter Chrissy tree sticker on the acetate.
I also added these cute little envelopes that I found at the office supply shop, I have either added stamped images, tags or stickers to them. This tag actually came on my secret Santa pressy from Scrapz, just couldn't throw it away, too cute, so I recycled it here.
This last photo show just how thick the whole album is, so I don't think I will be adding to many more bits and pieces to it to make it any more bulky.
All the page numbers were created from hybrid scrapping which I printed on matt photo paper and cut out, then I punched out the scalloped circle from Kraft paper to mount the numbers on, these were then mounted onto inked chipboard oval shapes.
Sorry the photos aren't too crash hot, the weather here is horrible for taking photos. The whole album came out a lot more bulky than I had hoped but I am pleased with the end result.
Well thanks for stopping by. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and if travelling take care :)

More December Daily Photos

Here are a few more of my December Daily photos...

Has you can see my December Daily Album is all finished bar adding the photos and journaling, will show more photos in another post.
I can't believe that I am all organised for Christmas, all the food is brought, the presents are all wrapped and under the tree. Have made the rum balls, will make some more rocky road tomorrow. Just have a bit of general housework to do and the house will be clean. Gosh it feels good to be so organised :)
How is everyone else going with their Chrissy preparations?
Well take care over the holidays and if travelling be safe!

I hope tomorrow I feel like scrapping, I have so much on my 'to do' list that it is not funny.
Well that is all for now, I will not bore you too much. Take care!

December Daily

My photos for day 3 and 4...
I made this advent calendar a few years ago, it is still one of my favourites.

Had my grand daughter over for a sleep over, on Saturday morning she asked to look at the sale catalogues. She come up to me and said ''nanny I am going to mark what I want Santa to bring me'' I said "ok". I had a look a little while later and had to laugh she had marked so many things she wanted but what got me was she wanted a ipod touch, she said so she could listen to music while playing...bless her soul!

December Daily

Over at Scrapz there are a few of us that are doing the December Daily photos. Here are mine for the last 2 days. PS this photo was taken on my new iPhone, pretty good photo quality hey!
I took this one for day 1. I was out Chrissy shopping and the crowds were getting to me so I decided to have a treat in the form of this yummy blueberry muffin and a cuppa.
Now for day 2 I decided to write Santa a letter, yep I think grownups should be allowed to write to him.
Now to leave it out where Santa [hubby] can see it...lol!

From Screen 2 Scrap

The December poster is up and it is a beauty, so here it is...
So to find out the full list of criteria to create a layout for this month pop on over to From Screen 2 Scrap and check it out. So now to show you my creation, I do have to say that it took me a little while to come up with an idea but I am please with what I did.
The journaling reads 'My Nightmare Before Christmas starts at the beginning of December with the cleaning, organising, wrapping of the presents and cooking. Just for just one day...'
