I Know....

I am a slack blogger...going back to work has really cut into a lot of my favourite pastimes like updating my blog and not to mention scrapping, well we wont go there well we...
So first I would like to thank Lexie for this lovely blog award...

Now to pass it on, well seeing has I don't have a lot of time I want to pass this onto all you lovely ladies out there that read my blog...you know who you are so add it to your blog from me...
Now I haven't done any scrapping at all for over a week, I know no excuse is there...
so I am going to show you a couple of old layouts I did...

I have to laugh when I look at these old layouts and see how much my style has changed...
Now I would like to share a couple of funny photos that were emailed to me by my niece. I don't know who the original artist is but they certainly are very talented...

Great aren't they!!!
Well that is all for now, I am really hoping to get some scrapping done in the next couple of days.
So keep safe until next time...

I Have Survived...

the first two day of work, but boy am I tired...
I actually have tomorrow off, then 3 day on and after that I think I have a few more days off so at least I am easing back into work. It actually feels good to get back into the work force, the only thing I am not looking forward to is the early morning starts...hate them!

Now onto other things...
have you seen the new Tim Burton movie being released in 2010 'Alice In Wonderland'.
Here are a couple of images from the movie.

Look at the giant mushroom and the faces in the flowers in the image above.
And what do you think of Tweedledee & Tweedledum?

And how about the white queen played by Ann Hathaway...

And of course Tim's wife Helena Bonham Carter will play the red queen...

There is an Aussie actress playing the part of Alice, 19 year old Mia Wasikowska....

And now one of my favourite actors Johnny Depp will play the not so ordinary mad hatter...

It certainly doesn't look like Johnny Depp does it!
It is so funny just looking at these images I am thinking boy there is some scrapping inspiration to be found there for sure, the colours are just so rich!
Well that is all for now, so until next time...

Boy Oh Boy....

I hate it when my hubby is sick, he just makes everyone feel glum and grumpy...
He mopes around the house with this long face and gets in your way all the time....
Oh please get over the flu (no he has not got the swine flu) and get back to work and leave me in peace...he has now been home from work for 2 days, so I will have him under my feet for 4 days as the weekend is tomorrow...don't get me wrong I do love him but he can be just so frustrating, annoying and a pain when he is sick....anyway I think I have vented my annoyance, lol...
So what else do I have to share...
Oh my layout 'Lost In Thought' won the May shape challenge over at Crafting In Style...so I get to go shopping, woo hoo!!!
Also I would like to thank everyone that has left such lovely comments, it is heart warming to know that someone does ready by blog. Again thanks your for taking the time to leave comments/love on my blog. :)
So that is all for today,

A Few Things To Share...

First I have to share that I start work on Monday...woo hoo!!!
First 2 days are orientation then I will be rostered on to do PM shifts. It has taken a long time to get the final yes but it came yesterday. I am just so relieved that it is over, the wait was a killer....
Now a couple of layouts to share, I haven't been able to print any photos so I have done a couple of digi layouts...
This one was for the June cybercrop at Ready, Set, Scrap, 'Kath 80's challenge'. The criteria was to scrap the music you use to listen to in the 80's, plus 3 or more patterned papers, 2 different fonts & stitching. So this is what I created, my hubby really like it as well...
I must admit I still love listening to some of these bands, lol...
This next digi layout is also for the June cybercrop over at Ready, Set, Scrap for Janine 80's challenge. The criteria was to create a collage of your favourite 80's memories, plus stamping & flowering.
So this is what I created....
Well I don't know if I covered this criteria exactly but I like the finished layout. These photo show the one and only time I have ever been a bridesmaid, well actually maid of honor...it was for my mum's second marriage in 1986. The two babies in the top photo are my twins, they were 10 months old then.
Well that is all I have to share for now, I don't know how much scrapping I will be getting done after this weekend but will see how I go...
So for now

A Couple More...

to share with you, these are both for the June cybercrop over at Ready, Set, Scrap. This month's cybercrop theme is 'the 80's'. Boy does this bring back memories, I was in my last teens/twenties in the 80's. I also got married, had 3 of my children by the end of the 80's, and brought our first house. Oh so mush happened in the 80's.
This is a digi layout for the challenge set by Ann-Marie. Loved the bright colours set by the criteria. The journaling reads 'Our little rock star hiding behind her glasses, so sweet and pretty, keys in one hand ready for a fast escape, she wont look at the camera, she doesn't like her photo taken, she is so sweet and pretty'.
This is my take on Lexie's challenge, we had to get inspiration from the song 'Don't Worry Be Happy' by Booby McFerrin. I took a couple of lines from the song for my layout. I just happened to get this photo of my oldest daughter at out local show on Saturday and it was just perfect for this challenge. It didn't really turn out the way I pictured it in my mind but I think it is ok....

Well now what else do I have to share....
I still haven't officially heard if I have gotten the job :( which is really starting to peeve me off. I feel like I am in limbo land not knowing. Even the lady from the recruitment agency doesn't have any more info to pass onto to me...You would think that they could of told me a definite yes or no by now, instead of all this 'it is looking good' stuff they keep saying.
Well I think I will just keep applying for jobs just in case.
Anyway that is enough, I think I have vented my frustration, lol.
We took Summah to the local show on Saturday. Boy did she have a ball! She loved the baby farm animal, oh and side show ally...she had a ball going on the rides. I got some lovely photos of her which was fantastic. I can tell you hubby and I were so tired when we got home, we crashed early. But I am really glad we took her just to see the look on her face.
Well that is all for today's post, so until next time...

I Got To Scrap...

today, finally after how many day of not being able to get into my scrapping room (should say space). This layout just seem to all come together really nicely and I am very pleased with it.
So let me know what you think, love getting your comments.
This layout is for the Theme challenge over at Read, Set, Scrap, this months theme is Winter set by Lexie. Was only allowed to use black/grey/white & silver, paint &/or ink, has many embellishments & alphas that you want to use and the last criteria was NO Patterned Paper...now that was very hard for me but I pulled it off just, I used these gorgeous printed Prima flowers that I have had here for ages, they suited perfectly has they were black, grey & white. The photo is of the first jonquil that has flowered in my garden, oh I hope I get more flowering they are so pretty.
Well that is all for now, so until next time...

This Is All...

I have to share with you today, I had big plans on getting lots of layouts done for Read, Set, Scrap challenges but I had to baby sit Summah again today. I had my beautiful gran daughter here on Friday night for a sleep over and seeing has her mum had to go to Brisbane to help pick up a car today I got to look after Summah again...boy she keeps me on my toes, lol....
Well while she was happy watching a DVD I got a digital layout done, you see my computer is in the lounge room so she was happy for me to work on it instead of scrapping in another room...she has to be near me.
Well here is my digi layout...
The photo is of my oldest son and his girl friend on the night of her 21st birthday, they were both a little tipsy otherwise I would not of been able to get a decent photo, they are both terrors has far has getting photos taken.
Boy I am so looking forward to this long week end being over so I can have some space and do what I want to do, like scrapping. I can not get into the office to my scrapping desk, youngest son has been in there for most of the day listening to his music (not to my liking at all). Will see what tomorrow brings...

A Couple To Share...

with you today....
First is a card I did for the Rudolph Club over at 123 Scrapbook. The idea of this club is to get your Christmas Cards done before December, so every 2 weeks a new card is posted for us to make. Now this will be a first for me to have my Christmas cards all done before December, lol....I didn't have all the materials from the list for this card so I made do with what I had, so my card came out on the simple side but I rather like it...so here it is.
Next I got a layout done for one of this months challenges over at Ready, Set, Scrap. This one is for the Ebony & Ivory Challenge, Tracey set the criteria for this challenge, we had to use Ivory (white), black & orange colours, 1 photo & it had to be animal related, flowers & buttons. So here is my take...
I found these lovely flowers, well I don't know it you call them flowers but these long stem leafy looking things in my local $2 shop and I just knew I had to have them, and they did come in handy. I was not too sure about all that orange, it is very bright...it seem to be growing on me the more I look at it.
I think I have to start a colour note book, somewhere were I can write down all the items I have of that colour, because as I am looking at this layout I just realised I could of used some of my Prima black bling swirls. That is always the way isn't it you come up with all the things you could of used after you have taken your photo and uploaded it...lol...
Well all done for another day...

I Am...

I Am Woman...that is the theme for the May cybercrop over at 123 Scrapbook. This layout is for the challenge set by Karlene and yes I know that this layout is very similar to another layout I did titled 'I See' but hey the themes and selection criteria for these challenges are so similar that I created what I thought would suit...lol..
Well here is 'I Am'...
The criteria was to use handmade die cut paper, stamping, truthful journaling and a handmade flower. Well I think I covered all that, my handmade flower was made out of punched out hearts that I glued overlapping each other, I must say I am very pleased with the end result. I kept this layout fairly simple, it just don't feel right to add too much...does that make sense!
Now onto some other news...I had a phone call yesterday about the job that I applied for and it looks as if I am going to get it...{woo hoo doing the happy dance here}...just have to wait until I get a few things done before I can start. I am very glad in a way to be working again but in another I am sad as I wont be able to spend as much time scrapping, chatting and all those other things I have been doing as I am now has this job does involve shift work. Oh well I suppose we cant have everything we want, lol...but we can wish!!!
Well that is it for another day, see you all later...

Boy Finally Something Done...

scrapping that is....
I have not felt like creating anything lately well for over a week now, but today I got 1 LO done so far for the cybercrop challenges over at 123 Scrapbook. This one is for Ngaire's challenge, the criteria was to use lots of layers, scallops & flowers, and string. I would of love to of use white string but I only had cream on hand so used it...might change it when I can get some white string. Anyway here it is....
Well has you can see I am still trying to get through my old stash, the ChatterBox paper, Heidi Swapp chip alphas and I used up a few of my eyelets here as well.
So that is it from me for now...oh I nearly forgot I had a call back from the job interview I had last week and it looking good so far, woo hoo... :)
Keep Sake,
