Gosh is it cold here today...

I hate the cold, so bring on summer!
Anyway onto better things. I have a few layouts to share with you all.
First up is my take on this weeks palette over at the color room.
Here is the palette...
And this is my layout, I went digital this time. I used elements from digital-crea.fr
It has to be one of my best digital layouts so far I think.
Next up is my layout for round 4 in the Scrap That Ad comp over at Scrapz.biz
You can see the 'life be in it' ad here, it would of been about the 1980's this ad was around I think.
I loved the bright colours in the ad, just could not decide which ones to use so I went with green, pink and brown. I also went with a smaller size layout, A4. I handmade all the flowers and leaves.
Just as well you can't see the scales too well, a bit of a shocker, I really need to loose weight.
My next layout to share with you all today is for the About Me Challenge at Soul Scrappers.
We had to scrap a layout about who else shares our date of birth.
Last but not least is for my DT challenge over at Soul Scrappers. My digital challenge is to create tags that can be made into a mini album or for presents, lots of possibilities...
So here are some of my boy tags with photos of my oldest son.
So that is all I have to share with you for now...

A Couple Of Layouts...

First up is my layout I created for round 3 in the Scrap that Ad challenge over at Scrapz.biz
The Ad was the yellow pages ad 'not happy Jan'. I got my inspiration from the lady counting to 10, so I decided to have to points of what makes me 'not happy'. Well here it is...
Had to include criteria of a catch phase, a book page or part thereof and an exclamation mark, sign or speech bubble. Has you can see I used the catch phase 'that's all folks' followed by the exclamation mark and I made my flowers out of pages from an old book.
Next up is a digital layout I did for the sketch challenge over at Soul Scrappers
Here is the sketch...
and now my take on the sketch...
The photo is of my oldest DD back in 1989. Elements used from Scrap Girls.
That is all for now, take care!

The Color Room Palette #19

I scrapped today but I am not happy with the layout I created. I really don't have time to change it now and besides I have already uploaded it  to the Color Room. So this is the color palette for this week...
I didn't have any brown to match the brown in the palette so I used what I had.
Yep I think I missed the blues as well, they don't really match do they. I think my creative juices have dried up a bit, lol! I used Kaiser and Chatterbox papers, Heidi Swapp credit card frames, buttons, string, Finishing Touches rubons, K & Co alpha letters and machine stitching.
Oh well I think we all have day that things just done work. I just hope that tomorrow is better, I am going to start week 3 challenge for Scrap that Ad over at Scrapz.biz
Until next time, take care!

Week 2 Layout For Scrap That Ad...

For the week 2 challenge in the Scrap that Ad challenges over at Scrapz, biz we had to create a layout base on the Vegemite ad and also had to use diamond shape, Vegemite colours and the word happy.
I used old Making Memories stamps for the diamond shapes and then I outlined a few in black pen, made the stars and bracket out of black cardstock, used up a few scrap pieces of paper for the strips behind the photo, the hearts and butterflies. Overall I just used leftover scrap and bits & pieces here.
Well that is all I have to share for now, hope you like!

Challenges Over At Soul Scrappers!

I have done a few challenges over at Soul Scrappers
First up is Deb challenge THC16 is to sand your photos. I haven't sanded a photo for ages and thought this technique would be great on a vintage photo. I also made my own clouds, trees and sheep for this layout, now don't laugh will you...
I have to admit that I am rather pleased how this turned out. I used Jenny Bowlin and Carolee's creation papers, Basic Grey chip numbers, 7 Gypsies tag, string, brads, button, Maya Road owl and AC thickers.
Next up is my layout for Erika 'about me' challenge AMC16. We had to journal about how we want to be remembered.
I hand cut out the vines from some Jenny Bowlin, Basic Grey paper which I stamped with a scrip stamp, and Paper Loft paper. A very simple layout has I wanted the focus on the journaling which reads 'laugh has much as you breath and love as long as you live. How do I want to be remembered! Well I think i would like to be remembered by my...kind nature, also willing to give a helping hand... fun loving nature, always laughing and joking...my love that I share with lots of people.'
Now for a digital layout.
For Wendy's challenge DC16 we had to twist a template and title. I turned my template onto its side and did some journaling in a circle.
I used digital elements from Maude & Millie kit.
So I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I have been up to.

The Color Room Palette #18

This was #18 palette over at the Color Room...
and here is my layout using these colors...
had fun splashing paint on the background, also did some hybrid scrapping the fire engine, hat, fireman's ball ticket and hydrant are images downloaded from the internet. Used some scrap pieces of paper from Pink Paislee, 7 Gypsies and Deja Views, also Kaiser and  Basic Grey rubons, buttons, brads, basic Grey alpha stickers and K & Co stickers.
Thanks for stopping by :)

It Seems That...

I am only getting a chance to post on my blog once a week, lol, well better that than not at all.
So I have a few layouts to share with you all.
First up is this weeks color room palette, here is the palette.
Now here is my layout, don't know if I got the dusty pink color right but I enjoyed creating this layout.
I did some hybrid scrapping on this layout, the butterflies. I also used calico material to make my flowers and used some buttons for the centers. Here are a couple of close up for you...
Next up is a layout for Soul Scrappers Quest 3, I was given a bag of goodies to create with, the more goodies you use the more points you get. The theme was love, so this is what I created...
I went a little bit wild with the ink around the edge of my cardstock, lol. The circles are all stamps that I have, really love the stitched look one. And yep I did use all the goodies in the bag.
Now I have my week 1 layout for the Scrap That Ad comp over at Scrapz. We had to create a layout after watching an ad video. We had to include the word Australia, a list, and some Australian ephemera. I wanted to use some very old photos of hubby and me on our honeymoon trip. The list is place we stopped, and my ephemera is the kangaroo sign which I did had hybrid scrapping like the wattle.
Next up is a digital layout for the current sketch challenge designed by llina over at Soul Scrappers.
So that is all I have to share for now.
Oh before I forget why don't you join in on the birthday celebrations over at From Screen 2 Scrap lots of fantastic prizes are up for grab, hope to see you there...

This Month's Poster...

Over at From Screen 2 Scrap is Juno
The criteria was to use a handmade title, stripes and scrap a pregnancy or new baby photo.
So this is what I created.
I was 37 weeks pregnant in these photo with twins, I delivered shortly after they were taken. I used stamps to make my title. I used Kraft cardstock, We R Memory Keepers paper, Prima flowers, hybrid butterfly, thread, string, HS photo corners, mini alphas, AC thickers, Lil Davis chip hearts, Dimensional pearls and I made the fence myself.
Well thanks for looking.
