Out The Back

This is another page for my ablum 'my place in the sun'.
This is our back door and the view we have from it.

Mission 9

Set by Kerryn is to create a layout using lots of different alphas in your title. Now I have so many alphas that this was not a problem for me, but I can say it was outside my comfort zone to create a layout with so many different alphas.
Layered lots of paper and stitched the ribbon onto the page. I seem to have a great liking with the colour orange at present. To see more of the missions in the Biggest Loser Comp pop on over to Scrapz.

Soul Scrappers Challenges

Erika at Soul Scrappers has set a colour challenge to use this mix of colours...
Kraft, Pink, Red and Black.
Well I can tell you pink and red on the same layout kind of scared me a bit, but I bit the bullet and created this...

I rather liked how it turned out. The photos of Summah eating ice-cream were so perfect for this layout.
Also the first Challenge for the Glee Club has been posted. We had to create a layout based on a classic rock song of the Beetles, it also had to stay true to the genre of classic rock. Well after much thinking, and more thinking I finally came up with this...
and some close up for you...

I made the pearl pin using a tooth pick. And yes the photo is of me as a toddler. Coming soon some of my digital layout.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Our Little Corner Of Paradise

This is another page for 'my place in the sun' album. Lesson 1- no place like home.
it isn't much but we call it home. This is looking down our drive way, we live out of town on acreage.   The yard was very untidy, it had been raining for days and the grass was extra long and hubby was trying to fix the driveway has half of it ha washed away.
To take part in the course pop on over to Scrap Beginnings Blog.

My Place In The Sun

This is the cover page for my album 'My Place In The Sun'.
All the pages for my album will be digital and put together as a book at the end of the course, you know one of those photo books you can order online.
So if you want to participate in this year long scrapping adventure, yes I call it an adventure as I am sure it will be interesting and different. Pop on over to Jane's Scrap Beginnings Blog to find out all the details.

These 2 are from the top of 'Dunethin Rock' looking down onto Maroochy River.

All these photos are at the jetty/boat ramp just around the corner from us.
T
This photo is from Bli Bli bridge looking back towards Maroochydore, yep it has started to rain here again.

One Little Word 2011

After lots and lots of thinking about what word to select for this year I have decided to go with...

'Positive'

'Emphasizing what is laudable, hopeful, or to the good; constructive: a positive attitude toward the future; positive things to say. Not speculative or theoretical; practical: a positive approach to the problem'.

I tend to be a negative person by nature, so this is going to be challenge for me. I am alway's pulling things apart verbally and alway's looking for the worse of every situation.  So here hoping that I can keep to my word...

Raquel's RAK

Wow you should see the fantastic RAK that Raquel is giving away to one of her followers. Look at all the lovely goodies...
So all you have to do is leave a comment on her blog and become a follower.
But for an extra ticket in the draw post it on your blog and let her know. You have until the 30th January.
How easy is that :)

From Screen 2 Scrap

'9 to 5' is this month's inspiration poster over at FS2S
The added criteria was to use a photo from the 80's, a clock and a red title. So here is my layout...
'Parenthood not a nine to five job' title was created using my very old Dyno label maker. I made the doilies myself which I thought were every 80's. Paper used was Restoration by Crete Paper, Heide Swapp chip flowers and acetate clock face, 7 Gypsies arrow turns, Li'l Davis bookplate, shipping tag, string, Glimmermist and paper doily.
I am rather please with how this turned out :)
Well thanks for stopping by and take care!
