My Mum...

I did this digital layout in honor of my mum, she is having such a hard time at present but I am hoping and praying that all will be sorted out shortly. So here is to mum, love you!
I used digital kit from Summertime Designs, except the gathered ribbon not sure where that one came from. The journaling reads 'Your arms were always open when I needed a hug. Your heart understood when I needed a friend. Your gentle eyes were stern when I needed a lesson. Your strength and love has guided me and gave me wings to fly' by Sarah Malin.
Take care until next time,

A Quick Post...

to share this latest layout I have created...
The photo is of my youngest ds when he was 5 months old, he was so wrapped in our silky especially her tongue, lol...I haven't done any paper tearing in ages so I decided too give it a go on this layout. Love the K & Co patterned papers 'blue awning' I used here, plus has you can see I have used some of my really old stash as well. I found these really old guitar picks (don't know the brand) hiding at the bottom of the draw, thought one would look great here...
So anyway that is it for now, keep safe...

Gosh...

I can't believe I went the whole weekend without touching my scrapping stash :( oh hang on I did touch it I clean up the mess on my scrapping desk, lol...but that is all!
The weekend just seemed to fly by...
I did this digital layout the other day, I used free October downloads from Divine Digital. It is amazing the amount of free digital kits/elements that there is out in the big world of the web.
So anyway the photos I used on this layout are of my DG Summah when she was over for the night and one of her favourite things to do when she is here is to go down to the dam and feed the fish. Mind you I nearly had a few heart attacks, she nearly fell in the dam a few times, you see I can't swim...
So that is all for today, keep safe...

Finished Another One...

I can't believe I have finished another layout today. This one is for Kirsty's Birthday Cake Challenge over at Wicked Princesses Cyber Crop. This is the image of the birthday cake that you have to use for your inspiration.
How amazing is this cake...
Now this is my layout.
I got inspiration from the circles, stars, stipes and the blue/green/brown colours. I loved the Kaiser patterned papers I used, I also found in my stash these amazing Basic Grey numbers so many different sizes in the pack, amazing what I find hiding in stash. I am really please with the way this turned out.
Well that is it for another day, so keep safe until next time...

Gosh Tuesday Already...

Time just seem to be slipping through my fingers, I can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner and I haven't started my Chrissy shopping yet. I keep putting it off, I know leaving it until the last minute as usual then the mad rush to get it all done. I think I will have to start making a list then getting out there and getting it done, sounds like a plan...but for those of you who know me my plans always go astray, lol...
Anyway I have a few layouts to share with you.
First this layout is for Krissy's sketch challenge for Wicked Princesses Cyber Crop.
This is Krissy sketch...
also part the criteria was to be inspired by party food as the colour scheme.
So here is what I created, photos are of Summah's 4th birthday.
The colour scheme at Summah's party was hot pink and her cake was a yummy mud cake, so I got my colour inspiration from these. I have seen so many people having a go at making their own vine flowers I thought I would have a go at them, so these are mine.
This next layout is for another challenge over at Challenge Heaven.
For the Theme Challenge you have to get inspiration from a calender, so this can be numbers, dates etc, also you have to have a tree on your layout and scallop edges.
So I had a play with my digital kits and created this layout...
The photo is of my grandparents on dad's side of the family, this is the only photo I have of them and my dad as a young boy, that is dad in grandma's arms. I used Bella Rustic Day Kit and for the life of me I have no idea who the designer is, so I am sorry can't tell you this.
Now look at this I played with the 'sharpen' filter, it has certainly made a difference to the image. Not sure if I like it or not, I like the softer tones to the one above. What do you think?
See I am still learning, still a novice at digital scrapbooking, lol...
Well that is all for now, take care...

Revised It...

This is how it looks now...
Added stitching and outlined the stars. I think this looks better now...What do you think?

Wild Boy

This is my latest layout that I have done. I think my mojo has popped back in for now as I rather pleased with the way this has turned out, although looking at it now I think I could of added a few more things to it. This one is for another challenge over at Challenge Heaven. The sketch challenge, it was a double page sketch but I don't do double every well so I only used half of the sketch...
Yes after looking at it I will added some doodling and stitching I think, will upload the revised layout shortly...

This Is Too Funny...

I Feel...

like I am in a scrapping rut...
I am looking at my layouts that I have created lately and they are all lacking something! Not sure what but I feel like I am scrapping the same design on a few of these, I need to think outside the box but just can't seem to be able to get my head around this idea...
Does anyone have any ideas for me to try?
I do use sketches sometimes and am finding that when I create something from scratch it looks like one of the sketches that I have already used :(
Does this make sense or am I reading too much into this?
How do I think outside the box with my creations?
Maybe I need to step back and have a break from scrapping for a while and see what happens...
Have noticed that my mojo has been a bit lacking lately and am really struggling to create...
Oh well lets see what happens over the next few days, then I will decide on what I am going to do.

Well This Is...

my latest layout for Project Fashionista challenge over at Wicked Princesses.
Sorry the photo quality isn't that good, it is very overcast and dark here today. The criteria was to use colours pink/green/yellow, satin either ribbon or fabric. We could use other embellishments as long as they were in those colours. I used Basic Grey Two Scoops paper, Prima flowers, brads, Kaiser Lemon pearls, MME transparency which I cut up, Pink Paislee & Chaterbox alphas, satin material behind the flowers & satin ribbon. Now here are a couple of close up to show you the detail...

Well that is all the scrapping I had gotten done, would of got more done but one little every cheeky kitten has been running a muck all over my scrapping desk and has been driving me crazy so I gave up....
So take care until next time...

A Peek...

this is my latest layout for my DT work over at From Screen 2 Scrap, I can't show you the whole layout just jet but here is a peek...
I must say it was an interesting poster we had to work with for November, I loved the colours.
If anyone want ot know how I made these fantastic flowers just contact me and I will share.

I Have Been....

Scrapping....
First I have been playing with my digital kits. Woohoo haven't done digi layouts for ages...
I just had to scrap our newest family member 'Boo', and Halloween colours just seem so perfect.
Isn't Boo cute...
I used free downloads from Divine Digital.
Now this next digi layout is my take on the October challenge over at ARTastic Challenge Blog.
Here is the painting that you have to get inspiration from...
So this is what I came up with...
I used the colours and swirls has my inspiration. The photo of hubby & me is a couple of years old but it is one of my favourites...
Used kit 'Street Story' from Digital Crea.fr.
Next is a layout for one of the challenges over at Challenge Heaven.
I did the number challenge, I have never done a number challenge before and I found it a bit of a challenge for sure. Not really happy with my end result has Mr. Mojo just seemed to go bye-bye toward the end of creating this layout. So anyway here it is...
Criteria is to use: 1 flower, 2 photos, 3 buttons, 4 journal spots & 5 rhinestones. I have to say it isn't one of my best scrapping layouts :( might have to redo it I think...
So that is all I have to share today, keep safe.

Meet...

Boo
Yep this is our newest member of our household...
My youngest son brought him (well we think it is a boy) home on Thursday night.
We have named him Boo as in Halloween Boo seeing as he is almost all black, just a little bit of white fur sprinkled on his paws. Oh isn't he cute!!!
Will have to take some more photos, all the ones I took today are blurry, Boo kept trying to grab the camera...

Sketch Challenge...

over at Wicked Princesses for October. This is the sketch
I turned it around to it side and moved a few of the elements a little bit for it to work, so this is what mine looks like...
I found this photo the other day and I couldn't resist scrapping it. Us girls in the photo had to do a short play for part of out assessment back when I was going to tafe, gosh it was 2001 so long ago. Anyway we decided to have some fun and ham it up a bit and yes we did pass the assessment. That is all the scrapping I have to share for now.

Well I Can Show You Now...

This is my DT layout for this months poster over at From Screen 2 Scrap.
I got my inspiration from Egypt-> Pharaoh-> mummy-> sand-> jewels...
I used travel paper that had a sand colour to it and I also raided our first aid kit for the gauze which I dyed in some coffee to get that aged look to it and to give the layout a mummy feel to it. The jewels are the little gem flowers and look at those Prima flowers they were just perfect has they had a real rustic look to them. So anyway that is my DT submission for October. So why not give this challenge a go, would love to see what you create...
