I Don't Know

if my scrapping mojo has returned to it's fullest yet but I created this page over the last 2 days for this month's challenge at Scrap The Boys. The criteria is the use some form of re-cycled packaging. Well after looking through all my bits and pieces I decided to just use part of a pizza box [yep I know not very exciting hey].
So here is my page...
Sorry the photo of the layout isn't too good has I took it a bit late. I played with a stencil and glimmermist on the background, really need a larger stencil so it goes over the whole page, but this is ok I think.
My re-cycled cardboard has you can see is the matting on the photos and some punched out hearts scattered around the page.
So what did I use: Basic Grey Oliver papers, cardboard, K & Co Rough & Tumble tag, glimmermist, stencil, heart & star punch, file tabs, plywood heart, string, buttons, Purple Pumpkin cog, Washi tape, Sassafras sticker,  Crete Paper phases stickers, Carolee's Creation mini alphas, P.etc cardstock stickers.
So I really don't know if my mojo has returned, not sure! Thanks for stopping by ♥

Gosh...

It has been a while since I have posted. I have been away for a short holiday, went to Stanthorpe to visit my mum then a 7.5hour drive to Moura to visit my oldest son. I loved seeing my family and catching up, wish I could of spent longer with them.
But since I have been home my scrapping mojo has gone bye-bye...much to my disgust :(
I do have one page to share with you all, I created this before I went away.
Over at Soul Scrappers they have a Soul Scrappers Quest that is run on regular bases.
What is SSQ you ask?
For everyone that signs up [limited spaces available] they receive a small packet of goodies to use, you can create a layout, OTP or cards. So the goodies that Karen sent out for SSQ12 were of a travel theme. When I saw them I knew I wanted to scrap a page from one of our Bali trips. This photo was taken a few years ago on our second visit to Bali, Brett and Zoe in front of the Hard Rock cafe Bali.
Now the bag of goodies included a quote, a piece of denim, ribbon, brads, die cut shape [film strip], 3 travel embellishments, a small piece of double sided paper and some cork. Well the cork really had me in a spin...a what am I going to create spin, I have never used cork before on a layout. Also has you can see I used up some of my older items as well, the background paper and alphas.
Here are a few close up shots...
So I decided to cut up and punch out shapes out of the cork. To give the page a little bit more interest, the little punched out circles of cork and paper, I scattered to give the page a visual flow line. It felt good to experiment with something different.
Thanks so much for stopping by ♥

The Scrapbook Awards

One of my layouts I uploaded to The Scrapbook Awards site won first prize for that category...woohoo.
This is the layout I used, it was an older one but it is still one of my favorites.
That is me, the little one with my mum and sister in the photo. 1961 is the year I was born and the little strips of journaling in the pocket are facts that pertain to that year.
Thanks to all that voted for my page ♥

Some Digital Pages

Here are a couple of digital pages I have done for challenges at Soul Scrappers.
This one is for Jane's sketch challenge.
this is Jane's sketch...
Has you can see I have altered the sketch a bit, I wanted to do more of a negative space page so I scaled down the sketch. I was very happy with the way my page turned out with all the layered elements.
Mary Word challenge is to use the word 'create' on your page.
The first thing I thought of was 'create' is such a scrapping word that I went with creating a page about scrapbooking.
So that is all from me for now, take care ♥

Quote Challenge

I have a quote challenge on over at Soul Scrappers.
All you have to do is use the quote on a layout, card or OTP, then upload it to the gallery by the due date.
This is the Dr Seuss quote...
You can find all the information on how to enter the challenge at Soul Scrappers under current challenges.
There is a RAK if 8 or more people submit their creations from me and at the end of the month there is a prize for the overall winner picked from all challenge winners.

I Won A Prize

For my layout 'Love my two girls'...
I submitted this page for the March Challenge over at Stuck?!
I was totally blown away when I received the email today. I had to pinch myself a few times, you see I wasn't totally happy with the page but I thought what the heck I will just sub it.
Thanks you to all the CT's at Stuck that voted for my layout ♥

Week 13

Well for this week we had to create a layout using the April colour challenge over at A2Z Scraplets.
Here is my page...
I had the Sassy chip word in my stash for ages and looking at this photo it was perfect.
This is the colour palette...
I glimmer misted the feather I used and I was in a hurry so I used my heat gun to dry the feather...well that was a bad move. I had a scrap room that smelt like burnt feathers...yep I burnt the first one. So that will teach me for being in a hurry wont it, the smell hung around for ages.
I used SEI white washes paper, Glimmer mist: gumdrops, pink taffy & Cadillac pink. Journal It's by Star, feather, A2Z scraplet word, D-lish resin flower, Washi tape, Basic Grey: Porcelain paper, letter stickers & brads, Heidi Swapp plastic alphas, Heidi Grace pin, Making Memories fabric brad, string, staples, Queen & Co sequin elements, button & paper flower.
Thanks for stopping by ♥ ☺

Stuck Sketch

I had a play with the April sketch today, and this is what I created.
I had a bit of an accident, don't know if you can see it but on the right lower corner there is a scratch on the photo :( don't ask me how it happened but it did but I saw it after I had glued it down. Don't get many decent photos of Summah, she is always being silly and pulling faces so the ones I do get I treasure.
This is the April Stuck sketch...
What I used: Kraft cardstock, MME Kraft Fun Day paper, chip elements, layered stickers, WOW chip shape, twine, D-Lish resin flower, ticket, pin, Washi tape, K&Co chip alphas, flowers, 7 Gypsies journal stickers, Kaiser mini alphas.

So Photos

to share.
Day 1 My Reflection.
I am not one for having my photo taken, even self photos, lol, much prefer to be behind the camera.
Day 2 Bright.
My one and only orchid that I have, it is covered with so many flowers at present. You can't see all of them in the photo there are heaps more that I couldn't fit in the photo...just stunning!
Day 3 Mail.
Our ever growing pile of mail on the table [it is all hubby's]. It includes bills, magazines, and general correspondence.
Day 4 Someone who makes me happy.
Summah always has a smile on her face, such a happy child. She loves coming here to my place.
So those are my photo a day to date. Have a great day everyone ♥

Scrap The Girls

I know I am late posting my CT sample page for Scrap The Girls.
For this months challenge we have a sketch for you all to try, here it is and what a very versatile sketch it is too. The sketch is a 8.5"x11" but you can create any size you are comfortable with, I went with 12x12. Do try to do a 8.5x11 page if you don't normally do this size.
I decided to add lots of layers on my page, with some paint splatters on the background.
I used: MME Stella Ruby paper, DeJa Views rubon, string, 7 Gypsies bookplate, staples, Making Memories paint, paper doily, ticket, tile, leather bookplate, clip, MME journal card, K&Co flower, paper flowers, Kaiser pearls, date stamp, October Afternoon word stickers and muslin.
There are lots of prizes up for grabs so do come on over and play along :)
