Woohoo

I have updated my blog's appearance :)
It was overdue for a facelift and I have been thinking about it for ages.
But boy did I have a job and a half to get the template changed, it has been so long since I have changed it.
So what do you think...do you like?

Using Napkins

I finally had a go at adding a napkin to a layout. I have never done this technique before and I don't know if I got it exactly right but I rather like what I created.
I added the printed layer of my napkin to acetate so it had that transparent appearance and then added a few layers of the napkin/acetate to the rose cluster.
Here is my layout.
and a close up of the napkin.
Hope you like this page, happy scrapping :)

Finally I have Scrapped

Look at what I have been creating, mind you I have been working on this layout all week..now that is slow going!
This layout is for my DT blog post over at Scrapbooking Haven.

I wasn't sure if I liked how this page was turning out but after I walked away for a bit then looked at it again, I am pleased with it. The papers in my DT kit are not the sort I would normally purchase myself, so they were a challenge to work with, I think that is way it took me so long to create this page. The papers supplied in my kit were Imaginisce Teacher's Pet which you can find here at Scrapbooking Haven at a very cheap price.
Here are a few close ups to show you the detail.
I added the rubons to acetate and then cut them out before adding to my page, this gives you so much more flexibility on deciding were to put them and they will look before applying. Also did my journaling onto mask tape, love the look it gives the page.
So hope you like this page, until next time :)

A few Digital Pages

To share with you all.
All these pages are for challenges over at Soul ScrappersFirst is my page for my quote challenge
The quote is by Audrey Hepburn and it was just perfect for this photo of Zoe. You have until 31 October to play along.

I Made...

a couple of card for World Card Making Day comps over at Scrapz but never got to add them to the gallery in time, oh well I will share them here.
I used some Graphic 45 papers to create this birthday card.
And Kaisercraft papers for this one.
So that is it for now, again thanks for stopping by :)

Some Digitals To Share

Over at Soul Scrappers there are lots of challenge running all the time.
I have two challenges that I have set.
First up is the color challenge. I selected 3 colors: Steel Grey, Yellow and Green. You have until 13th October to get your entries in, and if 8 or more people participate there will be a prize for the winner.
Here is my sample page.
That is a photo of little old me, don't you just love the beanie, lol.
This is the palette...
Next up is my digital challenge, a 'What's Cooking Challenge', you have until 17th October to get you entries in for this one. Again if 8 or more people play along I will give the winner an RAK.
The criteria is:
3 different pieces of paper
2 piece of Ribbon
2 flower, 1 must be handmade preferably
1 button
And lets add some layers to your photo by matting it at least twice.
Here is my sample page.
How cute is that photo of Mia, this was her first visit to the beach :)
Now both of these challenges are open to traditional, hybrid and digital scrappers.
So that is all for now, enjoy scrapping!

Kaiser 'Little Toot'

Has part of my DT kit from Scrapbooking Haven I got a sheet of sticker form the 'Little Toot' collection from Kaisercraft. I looked that them and my first reaction was oh no I don't do male/boy page that well...
But after lots of procrastinating I finally got into it and created this layout.
I used a series of photos taken when my youngest son was 1 (many years ago now, lol) but I wanted one photo to stand out more than the rest, so I just matted this one to make it pop of the page that bit more.
I also used my trusted fingernail file to lightly sand around the edges of all the photo to give them that little extra depth.
Well after playing with this range of gorgeous papers/stickers, I really don't know why I thought I was going to have trouble scrapping it, funny how thing turn out isn't it!
Thanks for stopping by :)
