Week 8

Challenge for 52 Layout Group, you can find them here on Facebook. This week there was a sketch for the challenge, this is my page.

I used We R Memory Keepers 'White Out' paper, Heidi Swapp chip tag, Scenic Route chip tag, Lil Davis chip shapes, black cardstock, Purple Pumpkin ticket & button, string, thread, staples, 7 Gypsies punch, Cherry Arte chipboard, MME Bluebird 'brothers' tag and muslin.

Get Picky Sketch #17

Had fun playing along with this sketch.

I am loving using orange on my pages lately, seem to pop up a lot! Love all the facial expressions that Mia does. Here are a few close up to show you the detail...

I Can't Believe It

It has taken me all week to scrap one layout, that is a traditional page as I have done some digital pages as you can see in the post below. I can give you a little peak of what I created but can't reveal that whole page for a while yet. So who is ready for a little look-see...

As usual I used some of my older stash as well as new on this page.

 I found this old photo of hubby and me but had to crop it a lot as there were other people in it.

For Jane Shop Til Ya Drop Music shop challenge you have to create a page about music and use music elements.

Now last is my page for Erika's Art shop challenge in the Shop Til Ya Drop comp. Using a black/white photo, frame, paint and mono color scheme.

Have You Ever

hit a time in your life were you have thought why am I even bothering to scrap?
Well I have been feeling like that lately. It takes me forever to get even one page completed. Yesterday I tried to start a layout, and I looked at my photos I wanted to use and nothing. I went through some papers picked a couple that I liked then nothing. This took a total of nearly 2 hours :( I then decided to call it quite.
Maybe I need to walk away from it all for a while, take a holiday so to speak. I will try again today to see if I can at least do this layout that has to be done. It just feels strange that I can't seem to get any creativeness happening at all with traditional scrapping, have done a few digital pages but still not 100% happy with these either. Oh dear I am waffling on aren't I, thanks for listening anyway...much appreciated ♥

Well It Didn't

turn out as the criteria was set. I created this page originally for White with One February challenge but after creating it I realized that I was suppose to use 3 photos. I like the way it turned out anyway.

Might have another go at the challenge once I get more photos printed.

Purple Pumpkin February Sketch

I decided to play along with Purple Pumpkin February Sketch Challenge.
So this is my page...

 I used an older photo of my two youngest kids. Zoe adored Brett when he was a baby, don't know what happened but they are not that close anymore.
I used black cardstock; Crate Paper: Neighborhood together, Restoration flea market, Random pattern & denim; MME day dream pretty petals; circle punches, pin, paper daily, Purple Pumpkin: ticket, die cut shape, button, hessian flower; Lil Davis paper clip, dymo labels; 3 bugs in a rug die cut stickers; Heidi Swapp big brads.

100% Pure Enjoyment

This is the page I had created for the March Sketch Challenge at Scrapbooking Haven, but alas seeing as the site is closing there will be no challenge so I can share it with you all.

I used a lovely crocheted doily from Purple Pumpkin. Oh darn it looks like I have stuck part of my page down on a bit of an angle. Again I used up scraps, odds and ends I had laying around. It is a simple design that works great with multi photos. Thanks for stopping by ♥

Those Big Brown Eyes

I took part in the Cooking Up Creations Challenge over at Soul Scrappers. Julie's challenge is to use white cardstock, scraps of patterned paper, a new tool or technique and embellishments in threes.
So for my new tool I used some new stamps I have had sitting in my draw for ages. Rather liked the effect I got with the stamps [lines on the background] on the white cardstock.

Has you can see I used up lots of old stash which was one of the requirements of the challenge, to use up left over bits and pieces. You have until the first of March to enter in this challenge.
