Inspiration Challenge

The weekly challenges have started up again over at Scrapz.
Sheree set an inspiration challenge this week, so first up I will show you my page I created.
And now this is what we had to get our inspiration from.
How gorgeous is that photo, would just love to sit at this table.
I couldn't go past the pink/yellow colour combo, so outside my comfort zone!
I used some Crate papers, Cosmo Cricket papers and stickers. Also used some older items as well.
The photo is of Summah which I took yesterday at the beach and it was just perfect for this challenge, she is growing into such a beautiful young lady.

A Digital Page

to share with you all.
Over at Soul Scrappers Shazza is running a SENSE-ational  challenge.
You guessed it, it is all about scrapping about our senses.
For the first sense challenge we have to scrap about our sense of smell about summer.
So the first thing I thought of was the sweet smell of mangoes, oh yum :)
So here is my page...
We had to use sewing on the page, also string, a tag, ribbon and 2 or more photos.
Oh I can't wait for summer to arrive to eat some mangoes off our trees :)

The Rest...

of my entries for the birthday celebrations over at Scrapz.
First up is my page for the sketch challenge. I actually got this page done in a few hours which is record time for me, lol...
I used an older photo of Summah here, it was her 1st birthday and with all the lovely presents she had around her all she wanted to play with was the coat hanger, lol...sweet child!
Next are the cards I made for the card challenge, was hoping to get a few more done but ran out of time.

We had to include pleated paper and chipboard on them. I really have to practice making cards, still very basic.I used up lots of older stash on these. Thanks for stopping by :)

Virtual Crop Tutorial

Has part of the 2nd Birthday celebrations over at Scrapz
On Friday night Kerryn did a virtual class as part of the birthday celebrations. Very easy to follow instructions and lots of fun had by all that attended.
So anyway this is my page.
I use old and new products on this page. Some more of those lovely Crate Paper Random range.
I also use masking tape which I stamped and them sprayed with Glimmermist. Love the mix of colours I finally ended up using, orange/pink/red and black.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Last Round

for Location Location over at Scrapz.
For this round we had to use a photo of a junk/mess draw, also include something from the draw on the page and the word junk or mess, oh yes and something that pulls out.
So here is my page.

My something from my draw is a shopping list note paper which I punched a scolloped circle out of and added my title to. Something that pulls out are my twin tags with my journaling.
I stamped the background cardstock with a script stamp to give it a bit of depth and texture, also sprayed it with glimmermist.
So that is the last page for the 8 week competition, love all the challenges :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Urban Girl

This page is for the sketch challenge over at Soul Scrappers.
I used some of the new Crate Random papers, love them :)
The background cardstock is actually a mint blue/green colour but bad lighting has made it look more grey. Also used some older stash which worked really well.
If you want to have a go at the sketch challenge you will find all the info here at Soul Scrappers.
Here is a digital page I did for another challenge over at Soul Scrappers.
This one is for the Ebony and Ivory challenge.
The challenge was to use white with shades of brown and a touch of black. These colours work so well with vintage photos. This one of my dad was taken in 1960 when he got the tractor stuck in the mud, it is really stuck and he had to hand dig it out. That would of been very hard work indeed!
Well that is all I have to share with you today, thanks for stopping by :)

Round 7

We are just about to the end of this competition and it has been lots of fun, I think there is one more round to go. You can see all the rounds so far over at Scrapz.
For this round we have to scrap about our scrap room....
OMG you should see the state of my little area, but I was good and never clean it up just took my photos.
We also had to include something that was on our desk, also something older than 12 months old (not hard for me) and use the sketch supplied.
This is my page '4 ever untidy and messy'.
I found Basic Grey petal, metal plate, die cut butterfly and cord on my desk. Just about everything on my page is over 12 months old, lol! And I did use the sketch but did alter it a bit. I decided to matt the paper layers to make them stand out a bit more has the papers were blending into one another, I like the end result!
I have enjoyed creating my pages so far.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Scrapbooking Haven

I created this page for a tutorial on using Glimmermists and Screen over at Scrapbooking Haven, on the blog.
I used lots of little photos of my little grand daughter Mia Lilly, isn't she cute!
What I did was sprayed my base cardstock with 2 different colours of mist, pink and blue over the Glimmerscreen. Then while I kept the screen in place I also stamped a script image over the top. So the screen image is unaffected by the stamped image, looks cool doesn't it!It is a great technique to try.
I also sprayed my off white Prima flower with the 2 shades of Glimmermist so they would blend in a bit better.
I also used just paper scraps out of my scrap box to to create this page, it feels good to use up the left overs on a page :)

Some Digital Pages To Share

Gosh time goes quickly!
It has been a while since I have posted/shared some digital scrapbooking.

First up is y page for the Quote challenge I posted over at Soul Scrappers.
The quote reads:
Live with intention
Walk to the edge
Listen hard
Practice wellness
Play with abandon
Laugh
Choose with no regret
Continue to learn
Appreciate your friends
Do what you love
Live as if this is all there is
             - Mary Ann Radmacher

An added twist is to use a line from the quote as you title on your page.
So here is my page.
You have until the 19th Sept to get your creations submitted. If 8 or more people enter, the winner will get a little RAK from me.
All these next digital pages are for challenges I participated in over at Soul Scrappers.
Debi sketch challenge, as well as the sketch we had to use a mono colour scheme and a repeated photo.
Mary sketch challenge.  Just love these photos of Jacob, my nephew at the beach watching the sunrise.
This digital challenge set by Debi was to use a photo as the background and a smaller photo.
Jane Technique challenge was to use lots of ribbon in different ways, so my page I included bows and flowers made out of ribbon.
For Debi theme challenge we had use the word "contentment" on our page and 2 or 3 dominant colours. Don't know if I got that part but I love the way my page turned out.
So these are my digital page to date, I think I will have to be a better blogger in future so my posts aren't has long. Thanks for stopping by :)

I Made Some Cards

Now don't be shocked, I have actually made a few cards for up coming birthdays.
As most of you know I am not a card maker so they are simple.
And one I made a little while ago...
Nothing fancy hey!
Thanks for stopping by, love reading your comments :)

A 'Just Because' Layout

I created this page based on one of the sketched over at Creative Scrappers, sketch #170.
Never got to complete it on time to enter, oh well will try again on another sketch.
So here is the sketch...
And now for my page...
I used Basic Grey kit Olivia, Bella chip letter, flowers, buttons, Webster Pages heart and a couple of other bits and pieces. How cute is this photo on Mia!

Up To Round 6

Here is another page for the Location Location comp being run over at Scrapz.
For this week we had to create a page about Ón My Screen', you can interrupt this any way you like.
I went with one of my favorite TV programs 'NCIS', I never miss an episode and if I am working I will record it, lol.
The extra criteria we had to include in our page was to use a TV program; mine is from the newspaper, a screen; a photo of an old TV and a clock; sticker, chipboard and stamped clocks.
I used part of a pizza box for my background which I also sprayed with glimmer mist. Loved the texture it gave the page.
Thanks for stopping by :)
