November Sketch #1

over at Kaiser is fantastic. I created this layout based on the sketch.

I used Kaiser 'Hey Birdie' paper, Kaiser bling and mini alphas, Kraft cardstock, AC thickers, paper doily, ink, flowers, string, ric rac, lace, mask, MM fabric brads, border punch. I also made some more of my own glimmer mist using aged paper liquid ink and perfect pearls. Had a little accident and sprayed a little bit too much mist at the top right hand corner.I have also been experimenting with a make-up sponge and ink for distressing, rather like the effect. And of course I have been making more of those fab concertina flowers.

This Months Poster

over at From Screen 2 Scrap is 'Casablanca', an oldie and a classic. The extra criteria is to use an aeroplane, 2 colours in the title and either 2 photos or 2 figures cut out of photos. So this is what I created...

For my title I used 2 different inks, paint and glimmer mist. Has the poster had a distressed look about it I did lots of distressing. Papers are from K&Co blue awning range. I also used some of my really old stash, gosh I have lots to use up. The photos were taken when we were waiting at LAX airport for our transfer flight to Las Vegas.
