White and Watermelon

Another colour challenge I had fun with over at White with 1.
Watermelon was an interesting colour and I don't know if I get it exactly correct but I had fun creating my layout.

Oh the colour has come out more red in the image than it actually is on the layout :(, that is a bit of disappointment. And don't laugh at my letter "e", I had to improvise and cut up the letter "g". So that is my layout for this month's challenge at White with 1.

Candy Pinks and Gold

Mixed with black.
That is the challenge over at Black With Two. 
Wasn't so sure I liked the sound of these colours mixed together but once I get started I was rather pleased  with how they looked together.
Si his is what I came up with as my entry for this month's challenge.

I even found some gold gems in my stash that I used randomly on the gold paint.

My gold paint was a bit on the old side, and it was a bit difficult to apply even with texture paste, at least I got enough out of the tube to complete this :)
I think my scrapping mojo might be coming back, this is the most I have scrapped in awhile!

123 Challenge

I decided to have a go at the 123 Challenge this month.
October Selection Criteria is to use...
1. Colour: Yellow
2. Word: Heart
3. Technique: Used mixed alpha title or journaling.

Used up bit and pieces on this layout, it is amazing what you find laying around, lol. Even this photo which was taken on our India trip was on my desk. Had fun doing this page :)

A Puzzle Challenge

For this month at Scrap The Girls you have to use these puzzle pieces on your layout, so the pieces are...

Hexagon
Squiggle
Circle
Rectangle
Strips

You can use them anyway you want as long as you use all these shapes on your page.

A Colour Challenge

Is this month's challenge over at Scrap The Girls.

A great colour combo, I just loved these colours together.
So here is my page...

Had fun playing with texture paste and paint again. My palette is a bit more softer has you can see. I used a photo from my 40th birthday [which was many years ago now, lol], my youngest daughter Zoe and my sister-in-law are pictured with me.

My take on this month's challenge at Black With 2.

Has you can see it is a colour challenge.
Black + Sunset Orange + Tropical Waters.
Didn't think this colour combo would work together but once I got started I really loved it. I got carried away adding lots of goodies so my page sort of got a bit busy.

Pastel Colours Plus Masking

Had fun working with pastel colour for this month challenge over at White With 1.
My yellow texture paste did turn out a bit brighter than I had hoped for but I still  love the overall effect.

Loving using masks on my pages, they just add that something extra to the page :)

Used a mix of arrows, some rubons and some handmade.

Oh My!!!

Now don't fall off your chairs but I have been scrapping...yep you heard correctly I have actually created :)
This is my take on this months challenge over at Kraft It Up.
The challenge is to scrap a layout that is not your usual style, so I did a negative space page.
Still has lots of layers but I only use a small amount of space on my background.

Gosh The Beginning Of The Month Already!

Where has the time gone, it seems only yesterday that I posted the June challenge for Scrap The Girls and now it is time to post the July challenge.
For this month you have to use a song title on you page.
Here is my sample page.

So the song title is 'How Sweet it is to be loved by you'. How you use the title is up to you, you can highlight some of the words as the title of your page like I did or use the whole song title has your title, it is totally up to you. You can see all the other CT creations here at Scrap The Girls.

The End Of Google Reader

So sad to see that Google reader is no more :(

I am personally going with Feedly after checking out lots of other options. I have seen lots of my blog friends/followers going with Bloglovin but I just wasn't happy using this reader so Feedly was for me. Sad to see Google reader go but so glad there were other options out their to choose from.

Winter

That is this month's challenge over at Scrap The Girls.
So use some winter colours on your layout and of cause photo/s of your girl/s.
Now no bright or pastel allowed...winter colours are warm, rich colours.

I did sneak in a little bit of bright colour in the blue and green just ot give the page a litle bit of pop.
