Gosh Were Does The Time Go!

It has been a while sine I have posted. Life just seem to get very hectic at time doesn't it...
First I would like to share my layout for this months challenge over at From Screen 2 Scrap
The criteria was to use this movie poster for inspiration

The added criteria was to also use the colour yellow, have 'little miss or master' in the title, and to use a car, truck, train or van on your layout. So this is my creation...

This is the the first time I have used hessian on a layout, I also had this piece of cute gingham material with bees on it which just so suited this page.
Next is a digital layout for the sketch challenge over at Soul Scrappers, which is the same as the previous post, just had to use the sketch again, love it!

A Digital Layout...

Soul Scrappers has lots of challenges going at present. This weeks sketch challenge is by Ilina and I just had to try it. This is the sketch.

I turned the sketch around as I only used the 1 photo instead of 3.

I used a Royanna Fritschmann Bloom Kit from Divine Digital. Love this photo of Summah which I took back in 2007, she let me put her hair up in a bun. So cute!

I create this layout for the last chickadee challenge over at Scrapz.biz.

We had to use this image to get our inspiration.

I selected the pastel colours as my inspiration. We also had to use 3 buttons, 3 flowers, 3 different papers and some lace. This is what I created...

Love this photo of my twins at the age of 9 months, the year was 1986. Yep I am still trying to scrap through my kids photos, lol. Made the lady bugs out of scrap pieces of paper.

What I Have Been Creating

First layout to share is for Lydell's sketch challenge over at Scrapz.Biz. I loved the sketch, I used some of my old stash here, I also added some glitter to the large cut out flowers for a little something extra.

The quote reads 'spread your wings and let the fairy in you fly'.
Next I created this digital layout for a challenge over at Soul Scrappers. The challenge was to scrap 5 of your goals for this year, I used digital elements from Summer Time Designs.

Love the pastel shades on this.
Now this next layout combined a challenge sketch from Soul Scrapper and a 'What's Cooking' challenge from Scrapz.biz. I have never done a what's cooking challenge, so this was all new to me. Had to use the colour brown, at least 1 oval shaped element, a bow and either a rabbit or a bird. I didn't have a rabbit so it was the bird. I covered my chipboard shapes with gingham material for something a bit different.

Last but not least is a just because digital layout. I thought it was about time I scrapped one of my favourite pass times, reading!

A Few 'Just Because' Layouts

to share with you...

I have wanted to have a go at making these flowers for a while now and I must say I love the way they have turned out. The little girl in the photo is my youngest daughter 'Zoe'. She has always had a fondness for animals.

I loved using all the different Sass Lass papers on this layout with the Prima flowers. This photo was taken the last year of high school for my oldest daughter 'Tash'. I have hidden journaling written on the tag.

Here is my latest digital layout, the photo was taken in 1996 {I think} at the Apple & Grape festival at Stanthorpe. There were a couple of Keystone Kops, they looked so cool that I just had to have a photo with the kids. I altered the photo to blur out all the other faces in the background. 
It is amazing what photos you find when you look through them again.

First Challenge...

My first digital challenge over at Soul Scrappers.
For this challenge you are to create a layout using:
1. use a sepia photo
2. have some stitching on your page
3. a tag
4. a flower
5. at least 1 button somewhere
6. have some sort of distressing {eg. paper tearing or inking}.


So this is my sample...

I love the warm color tones here.

Gosh Last Post For Today...

This is a 'just because' digi layout I created. I had a play with my photo editing program, I removed the background on the photo has it was a bit distracting, so don't look to close.

 

I used a kit from Digital Crea.

This has to one of my favourite digital layouts so far.

An Easter Card and a Funny Photo!

I created this card for a challenge over at Scrapz.Biz for their Scrapz.Chickadees challenges, fun and ideas.
We had to create an origami rabbit, well my first attempt turned into a swan... LOL!
But I got the hang of it eventually, so here is my card...

 

Also over at Scrapz.Biz Deb posts these cool tutorial, this week was 'colour pop. How to make your photos really pop with colour. This is my photo...

Now for something funny!!!
Over at Scrapz.biz we were asked to change our forum image to one with us wearing these Easter Bunny Ear we had to make. Well I was busy taking photo and didn't realise that I had someone behind me and they just had to get in the action...here is the photo!

RAK From Rach...

This is the lovely RAK that Rach from over at Srapz.Biz sent me for my shadow photo I posted a little while ago. Thank you so much Rach, I love all the lovely goodies...

 

So looking forward to using them, and how cute is that little carry bag :)

Some 'Just Because' Layouts...

My youngest son Brett said to me the other day 'mum you haven't done very many pages of me'...
so here is one of my little boy...

 

I used a piece of cardboard box to make the stars, love the texture this gave the layout. Also the frame behind the chipboard disk is leather.

This next layout is a photo of my sister, she was aged about 5 so the would of been either 1961 or 1962. 

 

Make the flowers out of tracing paper I found in my sewing cupboard, it is amazing what you find when you have a bit of a clean out, lol. Also used some of my old stash, the papers are Imagination Project.

Giggle Boy...

I did this digi layout for the sketch challenge #5 over at Soul Scrappers, the sketch was designed by Tiffany.
Here is the sketch...

Kit used 'Boy oh Boy' from Divine Digital. This photo of my son Brett, aged 4 here (now he is 18) is one of only a few that I have that he has a cheeky grin, he was always pulling funny faces every time he would see the camera come out, even to this day he hates having his photo taken.

We have had a lot of rain here today and I think it has made my cats go a bit crazy, they are running around the house knocking things over...grrrrrrrrrr!

And this is were my big guy has ended up...

He has never gotten up there before...

Oh yeah we have these mushrooms growing all over our yard...

 

We are just about flooded in, if it keeps raining tonight we will be...

I do have another layout to share but it has been way too dark today to get a decent photo of it, so I am hoping that tomorrow is better for taking photos so I can share...

I forgot to share my layout for this March challenge over at From Screen 2 Scrap.
This months poster is Happy Feet.

 

We also had to have a penguin on the page, white & blue has dominant colours and the word feet in the title.

Well I have the word feet in my title, but I use blue, yellow and green/brown has my main colours, and no penguin...

 

I added my title & journaling to the photo before I printed it out for something a little different...

Devoted To You...

another digi for a challenge over at Soul Scrappers.
The criteria was to use a black & white photo, and journaling that used lyrics from a song.
So this is what I created...

 

I selected a song by the Beach Boys for my lyrics and title.

Well that is as far as my creativeness has gone since the last time I posted, I know sad isn't it...

I have my first digi challenge coming up for Soul Scrappers on the 9th March...scary!!!
