I will just post the bare facts here but my youngest dd was reported as a missing person to the police today by her boyfriend. Well this was a shock as I had only seen her at 2.30pm yesterday.
Well after the police rang me I started to worry and it is the worse feeling to have when you don't know if your child is safe or not, all these images and thoughts go through your head.
There wasn't anything I could do and I felt so useless.....
And you know how relieved I felt when I got a message from my dd this afternoon to say that her car had broken down, her mobile was dead but she was alright and a short time later she walked into the house.
I thanked god that she was safe.
I think this would have to be one of a mothers worse fears of your child going missing.

Oh Marissa!! I totally relate!!! Thank god she was safe and you surviuved the shock of it all!!!
My son was reported missing when he was 2 years old. He was staying for an overnight sleepover at his grandparents house on the other side of Moree to us. They woke up in the morning and he was no-where to be found. They searched and searched. They lived on the edge of town with a busy road frequented by semi's and a train track right next door.
We were called and my MIL asked, has Joshua walked home!! Yeh, right. Two years old and like blooby 10 kms away!!! They range the police... Two hours later, after we had driven all over town - guess where he was found? The toilet!! They didnt bother checking the toilet! He went in there and fell asleep!!! Idiots!! Needless to say, he is now 18 and has never slept over there since!!! So I understand your feeling 100%!!!
