All I Want For Christmas

Scrap The Boys blog challenge this month is to scrap a layout about 'all I want for Christmas'.
So this is what I did after finding this gorgeous photo of my oldest son taken a few years back.

I used up some older Christmas supplies here. Loved using the Basic Grey patterned paper for the background, it gives the layout a warm feel.
I am loving creating at present seeing has I have more time being on holidays :)

Another Layout To Share

This page is for this month's challenge over at Kraft It Up.
Had a choice of two different colour combo...
Aqua/Kraft/White/Silver or Pink/Kraft/ White/Gold.
So of course I went with the Pink/Kraft/White/Gold.

I used some stamps and rubons in white and pink on the background to add a bit of lift to the kraft cardstock. Raided my Christmas scraps box for the paper and some of the other bits and pieces.

White with Banana

Well I think my banana is a bit over ripe...lol!!!
White With 1 colour challenge this month is white with banana but my banana is off or over ripe I think...

Isn't it funny when I am looking for a certain colour in my stash I can never seem to find it, but at other times when not needed I can, very frustrating!
Anyway this is my layout for this months challenge. Here are some close ups to show some of the details.

This photo of Summah was taken on our Bali trip [Sept 2013] at the Waterbom park, Summah didn't want to get her photo taken with the local mascot 'the waterbom duck' but we talked her into it and it is a lovely photo :)

Candy Red and Crystal Blue

What a lovely colour combo when added to black. These are the colour combo for this months challenge at Black With Two.
I will get right into showing you my page, so here it is...

Don't know if I got the crystal blue colour right but this is the closest I had. This page started as a big disaster, you should see the back side of the black cardstock...big, big, big MESS!!!
But hey I just could throw out the cardstock, but I didn't I used the back side. It didn't have the texture but that was ok.

Monkey Fun

Gosh December is her already, were has the time gone!
So seeing it is the beginning of the month that means that a new challenge has been posted up at Scrap The Girls. For this month you have to create a layout using....
multiple photos, a least 3.
This is what I created...

These photos of Summah were taken on our Bali holiday, she was unsure about the monkeys climbing all over her but she warmed up to it after a while.

A Recipe Challenge

I did this page for this month's challenge over at A2Z Scraplets.
So what were the ingredients for the recipe...

My sewing is in the form of a circle stitch stamp, hope this is acceptable.
I did go a bit Christmasy. I had these photos of Summah which I haven't scrapped so seeing has part of the recipe was the colour red they were perfect. So anyway here is my page...

Black, Cherry Reds and Coffee Browns.

I really didn't know how these colours would all work together, black and cherry reds ok I could see them working but throw in coffee browns as well....ah well not sure!
So why am I going on about these colours, well they are the colours for this months challenge over at Black With 2. I created and they worked...woohoo and I am very pleased with how they turned out!

Scrap The Boys

I decided to have a go at this month's challenge over at Scrap The Boys.

Who or what is your Man's Best Friend, that is the selection criteria. 

I interpreted this along the lines of gadgets are my oldest sons best friend.

So this is my page...

I found some hardware washers in my desk and they were perfect to use some on this page, they added that little bit of extra masculine element to the page I thought.

Scrap & Music

This is my take on the sketch and music challenge #13 at Scrap & Music, had to include part of One Direction song lyrics 'What Makes You Beautiful' as the title. I selected the words 'but when you smile'.

Used some older Basic Grey Pheobe papers. Seeing has the papers are rather busy I didn't add too many embellishments.

So that is another layout done for me this month, rather proud with what I have done.

White and Watermelon

Another colour challenge I had fun with over at White with 1.
Watermelon was an interesting colour and I don't know if I get it exactly correct but I had fun creating my layout.

Oh the colour has come out more red in the image than it actually is on the layout :(, that is a bit of disappointment. And don't laugh at my letter "e", I had to improvise and cut up the letter "g". So that is my layout for this month's challenge at White with 1.

Candy Pinks and Gold

Mixed with black.
That is the challenge over at Black With Two. 
Wasn't so sure I liked the sound of these colours mixed together but once I get started I was rather pleased  with how they looked together.
Si his is what I came up with as my entry for this month's challenge.

I even found some gold gems in my stash that I used randomly on the gold paint.

My gold paint was a bit on the old side, and it was a bit difficult to apply even with texture paste, at least I got enough out of the tube to complete this :)
I think my scrapping mojo might be coming back, this is the most I have scrapped in awhile!

123 Challenge

I decided to have a go at the 123 Challenge this month.
October Selection Criteria is to use...
1. Colour: Yellow
2. Word: Heart
3. Technique: Used mixed alpha title or journaling.

Used up bit and pieces on this layout, it is amazing what you find laying around, lol. Even this photo which was taken on our India trip was on my desk. Had fun doing this page :)

A Puzzle Challenge

For this month at Scrap The Girls you have to use these puzzle pieces on your layout, so the pieces are...

You can use them anyway you want as long as you use all these shapes on your page.

A Colour Challenge

Is this month's challenge over at Scrap The Girls.

A great colour combo, I just loved these colours together.
So here is my page...

Had fun playing with texture paste and paint again. My palette is a bit more softer has you can see. I used a photo from my 40th birthday [which was many years ago now, lol], my youngest daughter Zoe and my sister-in-law are pictured with me.
