It has been nearly 2 weeks since I have posted here on my blog. Sometimes other parts of my life are just too busy, wish I could just scrap full time but alas I have to go out to work.
So what do I have to share with you today.
I played along with the sketch part 2 challenge at Stuck?!
I love the sketch so here is my page.
I played with paint and rubons on the background, love the effect I achieved. I used some older photos of my oldest daughter Natasha when she was 3. For some reason the ribbon strip has discoloured, might of been a reaction with the glue and paint.
So what did I use to create this page: Black cardstock, white paint, Pink Paislee Press On's Vintage moon, Basic Grey rubons, Prima Madeline papers, ribbon, flowers, Heidi Swapp plastic alphas, Lil Dais chip shapes, Dymo labels and butterfly punch.
Thanks for stopping by ♥

Scrap The Boys
Getting dirty...yep that is this months challenge over at Scrap the Boys.
Once I saw this I had the perfect photo I wanted to use of my dad.
This photo is a special one to me, I don't have many photos of dad and the few I do have I treasure. Mum captured this when dad was trying to dig out his bogged tractor, and boy was it bogged by the looks of this.
Part of the criteria is to get inspiration from your photo, mine can from all the layers of mud that the tractor has sunk in. So on my page I added lots of layers and distressing. I am very please with the way this turned out.
I used: Papers: Chatterbox, GCD Studios, Adorn it, Cosmo Cricket, Little Yellow Bicycle & Fancy Pants, black cardstock, A Piece of Cake button, old book page, Ruby Rock-it die cut narrative, Lil Davis rubber tab, journaling spot, string, Memory Greeting rubons, SEI rubons, Tim Holz Ideaology mask, mists, Adorn it sticker, 7 Gypsies stickers, buttons and thread.

Scrap For Help
I played along with this months challenge at Scrap for Help. The rule to play along is to use recycled material, this rule is fixed and you have to use the nominated item to be in the draw.
So this month's recycled item is old envelopes.
Now I thought have I kept any old envelopes or not, I turned my craft room upside down [well nearly] to find at least one...and guess what I had one and it was a kraft envelope...woohoo!!!
So this is the page I create...
I layered lots of paper [mind you these were sitting on my desk], and you see my envelope I have one of the photo partially tucked into it. That is my youngest son, these photos were taken a few years back, when he wasn't too camera shy and did sort of smile nicely.
Adding layers to a page certainly does use up lots of your stash and to think these were all scraps sitting on my desk, it feel good to use up lots of scraps.
I used: Brown cardstock, Basic Grey Boxer paper, Fancy pants headed South paper, Adorn it Chocolate Paisley paper, GCD Studio Serenity paper, Little Yellow Bicycle Teal Dots paper, envelope [old], string, P.etc sticker, Prima mask, ink, Star: date die cut & ticket, metal heart, shipping tag, Pink Paislee Holly Doodle alpha stickers, staples, Heidi Swapp: plastic heart, star and chip stars, journaling spots & tag, clip and 7 Gypsies sticker.

You Bring Me Joy
Natalie Elphinstone is guest DT at Soul Scrappers this month and her challenge is all about using your own handwriting on your layout. Now I hate my handwriting so I don't use it very much at all. So this challenge really scared me. I created my page [minus journaling] and then I just had lots of trouble getting that handwritten journaling down on the page...what if I stuffed it up...what if I miss spell a word...what if I didn't like what I wrote...yep I know a lot of what ifs!!!!
So I bit the bullet and wrote what I wanted on a scrap piece of paper, even traced around my paper so what I wrote fitted neatly...yep I know I am paranoid aren't I, and away I wrote.
So anyway here is the page that I created for Natalie's challenge.
Well my handwriting isn't that bad is it?
I love red and kraft colours together. I love the circle photos too for something a bit different.
What I used: MME Life Stories, Cosmo Cricket Circa, Graphic 45 papers, pom pom & daisy trim, leather bookplate, Heidi Swapp heart, chipboard heart, ink, string, Kaiser paint, Making Memories brads, Queen & Co brads, dimensional magic, D-lish butterfly, Basic Grey alpha stickers, K & Co alpha letters and pen.
I am really happy with all the comments that everyone is leaving here and on Facebook, thanks you so much I really do appreciate the lovely comments you are all leaving ♥

Just Because
I wanted to create a page for no reason, it felt good :)
Sometimes I sit and think I should really be creating more of these pages. I think creating without the pressure of meeting deadline and using criteria to a specification is good.
So this is my 'just because' page...
Love these colours together, will have to use them again :) The photo is my 2 youngest munchkins when Zoe was 2 and Brett was 6 months old.
Thanks for stopping by ♥
Sorry everyone but this layout has been selected for publication, well I got an email today saying they liked it and to send it in for them to decide ♥♥♥

Scrap The Girls
This months challenge is up at Scrap The Girls.
So what is the criteria, well you have to use this quote...
"Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of. You know whatever you do they will still be there" - Amy Li
A while ago I was lucky enough to be able to scan some older photos from my mums stash. The photo I used was one of these, had to laugh at the dorky hats my sister and I are wearing. My mum always made us wear hats when we were little and yes that is a rabbit I am holding, it was my pet.
At first I had lots of trouble getting this page to come together but after walking away and not looking at it for a day I got it all together. So here is my page for the May challenge.
So close ups...
So what did I use: October Afternoon 'Picnic table' paper, Prima Madeline & Annalee paper, D-lish buttons, crotchet doilies, Candy eye magic button, Elle's Studio journal tag, string, Kaiser paint, glimmermist, Prima mask, ink, Sar date die cut, ticket, Heidi Grace pin, alpha stickers, Dymo, Basic Grey brads, D-lish butterfly & embroidery flowers.Would so love to see you play along, there are some great prizes up for grabs so pop on over to Scrap The Girls ♥

Ok I think I have overloaded you with images so I will say thanks for stopping by ♥
