well I tried to do shabby chic for challenge 4 for Project Fashionista over at Wicked Princesses.
I do like how this layout has turned out. The photo is of my mother-in-law and I really loved the fan she was folding as her bouquet so I used it for my inspiration to create the page. Well here it is...
Criteria was to used muted tones, well I don't know if you class the pale pinks as muted colours or not, oh well. Also had to use lace & pearls, I used pearl beads and stitched them into place which took me 2 hours, talk about a labor of love!
Here are a couple of close ups to show the details...
If you are interested in a challenge with a difference why not pop over to From Screen 2 Scrap.
The October poster is...
and the criteria is:
1. Use a group photo
2. Yellow or gold title
3. Use one element from the poster - a dinosaur, monkey, plane, rocket, squid etc.....
OR
3. Something inspired by one of the figures in the poster.......
example #1 The Pharaoh = a pyramid or Egyptian theme
example # 2 Napoleon Bonaparte = the Eiffel tower
Here is another peek of my DT layout which will be revealed soon.
So that is all from me, take care until next time...

Now Where Do I Chat...
I Have Neglected My Blog...
I feel really bad for neglecting my blog but I have had so much happening here at present and I just haven't had to energy to post. Now where do I start...
My hubby has been really sick for over a month now, I don't know if I have posted this info before but he has had so many tests done and they still don't know what is wrong with him :( So anyway I think it has finally taken it's toll on me as well, I feel just worn out, wash out what ever you want to call it...I wish they would find out what is wrong with him so we can have some idea of what we are facing here...
Then on top of everything I had a meeting with my boss at work on Friday and I have had major changes to my roster and a decrease of hours which I am not happy about...so I think I might be looking for another job.
Well now lets move on I have a couple of layouts to share with you.
First is one I created for the cybercrop over at Read, Set, Scrap and I won this challenge. I really struggled with the criteria, we were not allowed to use patterned paper...
So here it is...
OMG look at those photos of my family, we only had the twins in '87 and there was no way I was going to slide down those sand dunes, they were huge, yes I know chicken here!
Then I did a digital layout for another cybercrop challenge at RSS. I really love how this one turned out...
Love the quote! I used a Royanna Fritschmann digi kit which can be found here.
The next one is for Week 3 of the Project Fashionista challenge over at Wicked Princesses. Had to create a male page, oh so not my thing. So this is my take on the challenge...
I also did the September 'What's Ad About!?!' challenge over at Wicked Princesses and this is what I came up with...
Tried something different with the cardstock, I cut the shapes out then stuck the pp behind it.
Now I have to put my thinking cap on as the next challenge in the Project Fashionista is to create a shabby chic layout, another style that just isn't me. Oh well I will give it my best shot....
So that is about all for now, I don't think I have missed any layouts that I have created since last posting.
So has usual take care until next time...

My Guest DT Creations...
Well I can share the layout I created with the Party Princess Kit from Wicked Princesses.
This was a fun kit to work with with lots of yummy goodies...
Loved the Fancy Pants Kraft Kuts paper that is in the kit. I also had a play with some glimmermist on the Green Tara flower, first time I have used glimmermist...
I have wanted to scrap these photos of my grand daughter for ages, she looked so sweet eating these scones, so anyway they just suited the kit perfectly.
The Create Paper was great being double sided, and I just love double sided paper, twice the value...and isn't that little bird stamp just divine from Sassafras Lass.
I have fun creating these layout and I still have enough left over to create either another layout or a few cards. so this kit is well worth getting hold of for sure.
So do pop over to Wicked Princesses has they are having 50% off their kits at present.
So that is all from me for now, keep safe...

I Have Lots To Share...
with you today seeing I haven't posted for a while...
Well first here is my entry for challenge 2 for the Project Fashionista Comp over at Wicked Princess. Criteria was to use felt, circles and this quote 'we are shaped and fashioned by what we love'. So this is what I created...
And here are a couple of close ups...
I have a couple of sneak peeks for you of the layouts I created for my guest DT spot at Wicked Princess as well...I got to play with this lovely kit 'Party Princess'...
I have to say this kit was a pleasure to work with. I created 3 layouts and I still have enough left over to make either another layout or a few cards...These layouts will be revealed over at Wicked Princess & here on Tuesday.
Now this next layout is for the Ebony & Ivory challenge over at Ready, Set, Scrap.
Criteria was to use green/brown and white colours, curved corners and a stitched border. I actually got to use my 7 Gypsies border punch for the first time, I have only had it sitting here for a few months unopened in it box, lol....not sure if I am happy with the end result of this layout but not changing it now.
Now last but not least I did a just because digi layout the other night, haven't done a digi for ages so here it is...
I used Royanna Fritschmann Kit 'Kindred Sprites.
So that is all for now, keep safe until next time...

Just One....
to share for today...
The September colour challenge over at Ready, Set, Scrap is to use brown/tan /cream & two or more cut out photos. So this is what I created 'Look Out Here I Come'...
Photos are of my grand daughter when she was learning to walk on our timber floors, she had a lot of trouble keeping her balance. I so love these series of photos and isn't that coat just gorgeous! Still trying to use up some of my older stash, the heart shaped brads and a lot of those flowers I have had forever. So that is it for me, I am going to go forth and create again now for my DT work for From Screen 2 Scrap, so stay tuned of a sneak peek soon.
Take care,

Well It Is Official...
my lappy has died :(
The mother board has got a problem so it is cheaper to get another computer, well hubbie has one I can use. I am just really worried that I might not be able to retrieve my file off my lappy, I do have them backed up on an exturnal hard drive but this new putter runs on Window Vista and for some reason it wont allow me to get the files off the back up...gosh I just hope I can get all my files! I have so many digi kits/photos/files etc that it would be a shame to lose all of it.
So that is the latest update, I will be ringing the computer man today to find out if they can get my files for me, keep your fingers crossed for me please!!!
Now this has stresed me out a bit so I haven't got any scrapping done at all since last week, so I just hope my mojo hasn't decided to go walk about as well...
So until next time, take care...

I Don't Believe This...
I have had to send my laptop back to the computer shop :(
They never fixed the problem that it went in for the other week, now it is even worse. I just can't undersatnd why they never check it out properly in the first place instead of just coming up with one issue that could of being causing the problem with it. Well I can tell you that I am not going to be paying for the service fee this time, thay can just shove that...
So anyway hubbie has set up one of our spare computers for me to use until mine comes back. So yet again I don't have access to emails for the next few day, well I hope it is only for a few days.
So that is my little grip, now I feel better...
