it has been. Now it is not because of the weather which has been perfect or that I am having some time off work until next week I think or that I have had my grand daughter here for the last few days...not that all of these don't make it fabulous as well!
It is because I have my mojo back and I created 2 layouts today.
Now that is a first for me! I don't think I have ever complete 2 layouts in one day. And I am really pleased with the way they have both turned out. So what do you think of them?
This one is based on sketch #20 over at 52 Sketches 52 Weeks. Loved the Basic Grey Wisteria collection paper pack I used, such gorgeous colours. I cut up a MME transparency frame has it had the perfect purple flowers on it, you see those wispy looking flowers that is it.
I used sketch #30 for this layout again from over at 52 Sketches 52 Weeks. I used October Afternoon Daydream collection pack here, also fabulous colour combos in this pack.
So yep it has been a fabulous Friday for sure....

I Can Tell You Now...
my big news....
I have been selected to be on Screen 2 Scrap design team.
My first ever DT position....I am go excited!
The official launch date for Screen 2 Scrap is 1st August.
This is a challenge blog that uses film posters for inspiration for you to create your LO plus a few other selection criteria to be used as well. August poster is...'Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me'.
This is what I created as my first DT layout...I used the colours from the poster and the portrait idea...
I also had to use zig zags, paper tearing and a single photo. I loved using a strip of gingham material which I scrunched up as I was sticking it down.
So come on over and join us at Screen 2 Scrap...the DTs has some lovely creations you can check out...
You will have a month to complete and email your creations to shazzaalleyes@hotmail.com.
Overseas entries are also welcome. The monthly award (prize) will go to the layout that uses the selection criteria specified, layout appearance, and the techniques used. There will also be a random draw each month which will be selected out of the months entries.
Now when you send your entries in make sure you mention my name and you heard all about Screen 2 Scrap from my blog.
So that is my big news...
until next time, keep safe...

Oh Where Oh Where Has...
my mojo gone...
I have been trying to scrap for the last few days and all I seem to do is push things around without creating anything :(
I had have a play at a digital layout last night and this is what I created...
The photo is of my great nephew 'Jacob', I loved this photo of him with no clothes on at the beach watching the sun rise, so cute! I used another of Royanna Fritschmann kit 'Natural Instinct'. So love the colors in this kit.
Well I thought I was going to resign from work after all that happened last week but I have been offered another position that I think will suit me every well. To tell you the truth I did send in my letter of resignation but my boss said she would shred it when she gets it. The hours are less per week (about 5 hours less) but I can live with that. And to tell you the truth there aren't that many jobs going out there so I am glad that things have worked out for me. I didn't realise how stressed I was until after the phone call from my boss last night, first good nights sleep I have had in over a week...
Also I will be able to reveal my other big news very soon, only a couple more days to tell all...
So that is all for now, keep safe everyone...

I Am Dumb Founded...
But first I will share a couple of layout with you...
The one above is for the cybercrop over at Read, Set,Scrap, and the next one is also for a challenge over at RSS. This digi layout came out a bit too Christmastime for my liking but the selection criteria was to use these colours, flowers, distressing & rub-ons.
This is the first digital layout that I have used the rolled paper tool. I like the design and it is starting to grow on me the more I look at it.
Now for the news that has me dumb founded...oh gosh I got a phone call from my boss this afternoon and I am in limbo...apparently I am not suited to work in the hostel, so what now...I have an appointment to discuss my situation on Friday so for now I have no work all this week...I get the feeling they want me to leave but they wont sack me I think I have to resign...so I am going to look for another job just in case. I tell you this has come as a bit of a shock, I thought all was going well. Well just goes to show you you don't know what is around the corner do you...maybe there is something better waiting for me out there and this is a sign...lol.
So I hope everyone has had a better day than me...
Well until next time keep safe...

Sunday Glorious Sunday...
hasn't it been a lovely day today, it has been so warm here for a winter day. I went to the local markets this morning, haven't been for such a long time, got lots of lovely fresh produce. Well that was my morning and this afternoon I have been scrapping, well actually I have a few layouts to share with you since my last post...
This one I got done today for a challenge over at Ready, Set, Scrap for there July Cybercrop.
This next one is also for a July Cybercrop challenge over at Ready, Set, Scrap.
Another for Ready, Set, Scrap. This is a digi layout and at first I wasn't sure about the purple/orange colour combo but now that I have completed it I don't mind it at all...
Now this last one is a 'just because' layout...I did this digi layout just for the fun of it. It is called 'Why I {heart} Scrapbooking'.
So that is all the scrapping I have done since the last post.
I am enjoying my new position at work but boy is there a lot of responsibility that goes with it, I just hope I can handle it...
When I was out shopping the other day and saw this tee-shirt, now really what will they come up with next to put on tees. Had to have a bit of a chuckle...
So that is all for this post, keep safe until next time...

How Is Everyone...
Well I have a few more layouts to share. But first let me just say I seem to have a real problem scrapping lately, I am continually moving things around and debating over if it looks right...oh I don't know I seem to be at a stand still with my creativeness. Take for instance today it took me over 3 hours to complete a simple layout (below), now why don't my layouts come together without all the uncertainty of 'does it look right'...maybe I am too hard on myself but I wish I could just decide on what I am going to use and it all fall into place without all this uncertainty...
So any way here are the 2 layouts I have done...
This first one is for a July Ebony & Ivory challenge over at Read,Set, Scrap.
This next one is also for a challenge over at Read, Set, Scrap. I love how the photo really stand out in this layout.
I have work for the rest of the week now so no more scrapping for me. So keep safe everyone...

Oh Finally...
I have done some scrapping, gosh that is a shock!!!!
This layout is for Tracey Negative Space Challenge over at Ready, Set, Scrap. Had to use a non-cardstock or patterned paper background so I used cardboard from a pizza box, also 2 photos and either grungeboard or chipboard element, which I covered in my word 'run' & the chip clock face. Well I covered all the criteria but boy did I struggle with this one. So here it is....
Well I am hoping to get another layout done tomorrow.
Got a phone call today in regards to my new position at work. I start on Wednesday working as an EEN...I am a little scared to tell you the truth!
Well that is all for today, so keep safe until next time...

A Digi Layout...
to share with you...
I did this for Janine's July colour challenge over at Read, Set, Scrap. Had to use the colours skyblue/white/cream/black and lots of layers...so I think I covered the criteria.
Nothing much happening here today, it is raining so it would be a great day to stay inside but has usual I have to go into town then pick up ds from work. Well like the say no rest for the wicked, lol...
Oh the lovely Nat sent me these e-books, the Black Dagger Brotherhood series...
This is the cover of book seven...
Another vampire set of books to read...woo hoo thanks Nat!
Well that is all for now so stay safe until next time...

:)
Well I have another layout to share with you today. I did this one for the June theme challenge over at Read, Set, Scrap. The criteria was to use lace and a quote about friendship, well I think I covered it. I am rather pleased with the way this came out, so anyway here it is...
Love the red/purple/black colour combo I used. I found these amazing stems of flowers at my local $2 shop, you see them there on the right hand side of the layout, aren't they cool! I know I have used this photo before on a digi layout but Zoe, my daughter wanted a paper one to add to her album.
Well that is about all I have to share with you today, I am working this afternoon so I better go and get a few things done before I go. So keep safe until next time...
