drained at the moment, all I feel like doing is laying down and vegging out....all the stress of the last few days has taken it completely out of me. I have 1 layout to share with you, it took me 3 days to complete, I just couldn't seem to get the idea I had in my head to happen on the layout but I am ok with the finished result. I was trying to achieve a vintage/shabby chic look but I think I might of missed the mark a bit.
Here are a couple of close ups to show you the detail....
I do like the idea of the little flower tucked under the torn cardstock on the right hand side of the layout. These flowers I found were so cute I just had to buy them even if they were a bit too 3D for the layout, they were just the right colour. I have used a few of my older items again, I will get to the bottom of my stash one day :)
Looking at it now I should of did more with the lace instead of just laying it flat on the page, oh will I can always do another layout couldn't I....
Well I am off to clean off my scrapping table, it is a mess (which isn't anything new for me), so have a great week end and keep safe!

I Just Found Out That....
my MIL has blocked arteries in both legs. She has just had major surgery 3.5 weeks ago on a strangled hernia, now this. It is a waiting game now to see how long it takes to get in to see the specialist and when the surgery can be done, this can not be done locally she has to go to Brisbane. It will either be artery by-pass or a stent like device placed in the arteries to keep them open, which ever way it is major surgery. They are trying to get the pain under control in the meantime.
So now we wait and pray...

I Know I Know....
I am spending way too much time doing digital layouts at the moment, but I just can't help myself. I am trying new actions on my photo editing software so I just have to create a layout while I am at it, don't I.....and as I have Corel Paint Shop Pro X which I can't seem to find a lot of tutorials on I have to learn by trail and error, lol, I promise I wont show you the errors....anyway here is my latest digi layout, the photos are of my grand daughter when she was 6 months of age, oh so cute...
Well now to get some hands on paper layouts done, I promise no more digi layouts for at least a day, lol....

I Am Having So Much Fun....
Playing with digital scrapbooking, I have created another layout. I really liked the way this on turned out, that vintage shabby chic look just suited this photo of my MIL on her wedding day down to a tee.
Ok enough playing with this for now I have a few items to make for swaps that I have signed up for so off to do some hands on paper scrapping.... Do leave a comment I love getting feedback on my layouts. Well I am off, see ya.

Have You Heard...
That the company that makes Twinkling H2O LuminArte inc is close down. They don't just make Twinkling H2O but also Radiant Rain & Primary Elements. They are offering 40% off as there going out of business sale. If the Aussie dollar wasn't so low at present I would be very tempted to purchase some. Well maybe it is a good thing as I would mostly end up spending way to much, lol...

Another Couple to Share...
I have done another digital layout to share with you all....tell me what you think! I am getting right into this digi scrapbooking. Just need to get more digi supplies, at least these done take up too much room space to store, lol...
And I finished this layout this morning.
I used some of the ideas from Kim's blind scrap class on this layout. I loved how the stamped images on the old book pages turned out, gives it character...
Well thanks for stopping by. I do love the comments from you all, so thanks you very much for taking the time to leave them and reading my blog. Keep them coming please!!!

My Paper Version....
for the blind scrap class at D2U. Kim did a wonderful job teaching this class, instructions were easy to follow. Has you can see I used the same colour scheme as my digi layout, lol, I really like the black/red combo, I just converted the photo to black & white.
I have seen other scrapper make paper flowers so I thought I would give them a go and I must say I love the look of them. I will have to look into making different styles, so stay tuned you might see more soon.

Oh Bummer...
I was hoping to get some scrapping done today, but no such luck, which is a bit of a disappointment. Oh well I might do a couple of digi layout seeing as I can't get into my scrapping room as one teenage boy has taken over the room....I need my space and my music (not his) when I scrap, so don't crowd me otherwise I am one unhappy scrapper.....don't like scrapping when I am unhappy as my layouts don't turn out right, so it is wise for me to stay out of the room. Oh well off to do something else.

A Chellenge for Me from...
Kim, and this is what is involved....
Well here is the photo, it is of my SIL, Sandy and her first born child Sophia on her naming day.
The service was in my in-laws garden, the weather was perfect until later that arvo when a huge storm hit, we got home just before it hit.
Thanks Kim, I still haven't scrapped this photo, it is on my to do list, like so many other things, lol.
Now to tag 6 other wonderful people to take up the challenge.
Chiquita, Jacque, Jayne, Jane, Nat, Brenda
- Go into your “My pictures” folder
- Go to folder no 6 and choose the 6th photo in that folder
- Put the photo on your blog, and tell your readers about it
- Challenge 6 others by comments on their blog to do the same

A Few More To Share...
First a couple of cards that I made. One for my love and the other for my oldest sons house warming present, oh those Heidi Grace rub-ons I used on this card are so cute but were they a bugger to rub onto the card....
And a layout I did...loved using the blue/brown colour combo.
I know it is simple but I just loved the Heidi Grace paper that I didn't want to cover too much of it. Well that is all I have to share for now...see ya!!

A Few More....
creations that I have finished today.
The first is question 6 for my 52Q mini album. I had a bit of an accident with the black ink but oh well it adds to the character of the tag, hehehe....the question was 'If I could do it again, would I change anything?' So here is my tag.... what do you think? I love how the lady in the vintage image looks as if she is thinking about the question written down the side.....
I also did this layout 'Moments In Time' for this months sketch challenge at D2U. DT member Kerryn created the sketch and I must say it was an easy sketch to work with. Has you can see I am on a mission to use up my old stash, the KI Memories products are quiet old as are the Heidi Swapp stickers and Prima flowers but what is the saying 'what is old is new again'. I loved doodling around the outside of the layout. The vintage image of the clock which I had, I mounted onto chipboard for more depth.
I will get to the bottom of my old stash one day.....maybe.

A Couple...
of Valentine Cards that I made today. I loved the vintage images so I just had to use them, and the red/black/cream colour combo worked just so well. It has to be my favourite colour combo at the moment....
I don't make that many card so I tend to keep them on the simple side....
I have some vintage images for Easter cards which I hope to start this week, yeah I know it is early to be thinking about Easter but if I don't start now I won't get them done, lol....

What A Sad Time...
with the fires and loss of life that has occurred down in Victoria.
It is so sad!!!
I have had a huge lump in my chest all day today just listening to the news as the death numbers has increased....
I am at present watching Channel 9 on a special report on the devastation theses fires has caused, and it is heart breaking to listen to some of the stories :(
So please donate to the Red Cross for the Victoria Bushfire appeal.

2 More Tags....
for my 52Q mini album.
So let see week 4 questions was 'When I look into my eyes, I see....'
I found this one really easy to make, but I am not showing the answer as it is bit personal so hope you don't mind.
And week 5 question was 'How do I feel today?'
This one was easy to answer but the front stumped me, not sure if i like it I might redo it later.
Gosh I can believe that 5 weeks of 52Q has already pasted and tomorrow question 6 will be posted. I am so loving doing this challenge.....

Addicated To The One I Love...
is the theme for week 5 challenge at D2U in the 'Are You Feeling Lucky' comp.
So this is my layout....
I got a bit mushy with the journaling, lol...I wrote the journaling on a piece of acetate and placed it over the script paper, I used some of the words from this paper as part of my journaling...does that make sense,lol...here are some close ups...
Well that is it for now....

ATC Swap
Do you like to make ATC....if so way not sign up for the ATC swap over at D2U.
The theme for this month is 'Love'.
It doesn't necessarily refer to your significant other, it could be about the perfect cuppa, walks on the beach, a book you love, friends, family, pets... As long as it is about someone or something you love.
So some on join the fun....

What Sweet Smell....
I love being out in my garden at the moment. You see I have heaps of these bushes and I mean heaps they are all around my garden and they are flowering at present and the perfume is amazing....
They are mock orange bushes, and they are in full bloom. I have never seen them flower so well as this year....it makes going out and hanging up washing a pleasure (I have even done extra washing just so I could stand near the bushes, I know I am losing it, lol) but to just standing there and smelling the fragrance it is terrific. And when the wind blows the right way the perfume drifts inside the house, sigh!!!
Well I better stop writing about this other wise I wil be back outside near the bushes, lol....

Better Late Than Never...
Well I have finally completed my layout for week 4 challenge of the 'Are You Feeling Lucky' at D2U. The criteria was to use: 4 or more photos, colour rub-ons: which I added to acetate then used foam adhesive to give them more dimension, doodling hand drawn: I didn't like my first attempt at swirls on the right side of the layout, so I covered it with stitching and stitching hand or machine: that hand stitching took me 2 hours to complete but it was worth it. Well I covered all the criteria....
I wasn't sure if I like the way the layout turned out, so I just walk away last night and slept on it (not on the layout, lol) and when I looked at it again this morning I didn't mind it at all.
Let me know what you think?
And look no pink, lol. I like the colours I used, the blue/red combo.
Here are a couple of close ups.
That is all I have gotten done, my scrapping plans were sort of thrown out the window as my MIL had to have emergency surgery last Sunday and is still in hospital. It has been a very stressful week, and there is a possibility that complications can occur. So it is just a matter of waiting to see what happens, but we are all praying for her speedy recovery.
Well I am off to get some work done hopefully.
Oh yes before I forget, I would like to thank everyone who has left comments on my blog. I really love you all for leaving these comments, you are fabulous.
