Working But Not...

really, that is my photo printer.
I had a fiddle with it today. I re-inked some of the inks (I have lovely ink stained hands at the moment). I tried printing again and the photos came out alright, a bit of a black smudge on one corner of the photo but I can scrap around this.
The problem the printer is having now is that the print head is not returning to the right position after the cover is closed, it is staying in the middle....
So I think it is on it last legs :(
So it might be time to check out for a new one.

I am mad my photo printer is on the blink....
I tried to print off photos last night for a layout I wanted to do, and all the photos I printed had these lines across them, I was so mad...
I tried different paper, sizes, etc, even did the deep clean thingy....but nothing still printing like crap!!!
I don't know if I should take it to get checked out or just go an get another one. I didn't pay that much for this one so I really don't know if it is worth getting fixed.
If I decide to get another photo printer I think I will go for a HP one, I have heard they really good, mine is a Canon. The ink does cost a bit more for the HP but it lasts longer so I have been told.
Well I don't know, will have to do some research into it and see what I come up with.

It is just so annoying that I can't print off the photos I want to use right now :(

Well that is enough whining, I better get some work done....

Creativity Test

Blind Scrap Class.

This is my layout I completed for this months online class at D2U, it was a blind scrap class and it was heaps of fun.

I love using the bookplate this way, it was thinking outside the box which I think I need to do more of in scrapping. Full instructions on completing this layout can be found over at D2U, so why not give it a go...

Ouch....that tattoo would of hurt!

My youngest daughter has these tattoos on the inside of her wrists. Just looking at them makes me cringe, that is a tender area to be getting tattoos.

They read "Omnia Amorvincit' which translates to 'Love Conquers All'. I am not a big fan of tattoos but these don't look too bad. Until next time, keep safe...

Another One Done...

I have had this photo for quiet a while, it was taken in 2005. It is of my mum, me, my oldest daughter and her daughter, my only grand child. I wanted to keep the layout simple without the business so I cut out these flowers from a sheet of Scenic Route paper then made my own tulle flowers with I placed punched out flowers over the top & Prima petals on top of these. I must say I do like the way this has turned out. I wanted to have a minimal effect layout (I don't know if that is what you call it but I wanted a simple looking layout, lol)....I don't know if the colours of my layout go with the photo but I have done so many pink layouts lately that I wanted to use something different for a change...


Here are a couple of close ups of the flowers I made using tulle.




My husband even commented on this layout, stating that he like it, which was a bit of a shock as he normally doesn't say anything....

This is my latest layout that I have done. I don't know, it looks like it is not right, it didn't turn out as I had pictured in my mind.

It was such a cute photo I found of my grand daughter Summer that I just had to scrap it. And yes I used pink again, lol, I really have too much pink in my stash....
I have a few sketch challenges I want to have a go at so I am off to start these now.

It didn't turn out how I wanted it too, it is too dark but I do like the image I used.

Animal Cruelty...

Well I didn't mean too....
You see this is what happened. I opened the dryer door to put the clothes in, I turned away to talk to my dd then proceeded to fill the dryer. I turned it on. The dryer started to make this loud thumping noise...I thought that it was on the blink...so I stopped it and opened the door.
Well out flew Wobbles, my cat. I can tell you he wasn't too pleased at being shut in the dryer and being spun around, he gave me the dirtiest look has he walked away not that steady on his feet mind you.
So you see I didn't mean it, really I didn't, it was an accident....That cat is too curious for his own good.

I Finished It...

reading Twilight that is....not sure if I was that wrapped in the book, I really loved the last 1/4 of the book, it had more suspense than the rest of it.... now this is coming from a person who loves reading gory murder mysteries. So now to read New Moon.

Oh This Is...

hard work, I have only lost 1.2kg since I started my resolution this year to lose 10kg. It has now been 28 days since I started. I exercise daily for approx 40min and am totally enjoying doing the exercise. I have changed the way I eat, I eat a lot of healthy food now and in moderation....so why is the weight coming off so slow, grrrrr....but I will stick to it, I am determined to lose the weight, even if it a very slow process....
Well now onto other things I have completed 52Q - question 3, so I just have to take a photo & upload it. Should get it up today...
Also I am totally enjoying reading Twilight, it got a little slack story wise in the middle but I am getting into the last 1/4 of the book now and it has picked up, I didn't put it down until midnight last night, lol...I am itching to get back to finish it now....
Well that is me for now....the complains, warts and all....

I Love How...

Love how this one turned out.
It is for week 3 challenge over at D2U.
The criteria is to use 1. painted background, 2. lace, 3. ribbon, 4. material, 5. lots of distressing.
I distressed the material by fraying the edges, also inked the lace. Love the blue/brown combo with the use of a sepia coloured photo. Well till next time, thanks for stopping by....

Oh Gosh....

I have just realised that most of the layouts I have created this year have pink in them in some form. It just goes to show you how much of my stash is pink.....and here I am trying to use as much of my stash as I can before I purchase more, so expect to see lots more pink in my layouts/projects....



This is the layout I finished last night, did add the stitching this morning (forgot to do it before I posted the peak, lol, remembered last night just as I was going to bed). This is based on this months sketch challenge over at D2U. It was an easy sketch to work with, so why not give it a go.

Another Layout Done...

I have just completed another layout, here is a peak....



The lighting in my house is really bad for taking photos at night so I will take a shot of it in the morning and upload the whole layout.
I have been trying to use up my old stash, as you can see that KI Memories & SEI paper is quiet old. I really what to use up as much of my stash as I can before I purchase new items. Love those Bella Sparklez chipboard alphas....

Dying Hair...

You would not believe it, I have just spent the last hour cleaning the grout in the kids bathroom. You see it was pink instead of white.
Now I love my youngest daughter to pieces but when she does things like this it annoys me....
You see she dyed her hair, not all of it, just a section underneath bright red and I mean bright red. Now it looks really cool, the top is black and under that is the red (will have to take a photo when she get home to show you). So when she puts it up you can really notice the red but if it is down it isn't that noticeable.
Well to get back to the bathroom, you can guess it she washed out the dye in the shower....
I didn 't notice it until today, she dyed her hair nearly a week ago....it didn't wash off while the kids were having shower either...it just goes to show you how strong the dye is....
So yes I have spent the last hour scrubbing the grout, just what I wanted to be doing, as if I don't have better thing to be doing....
Ok now I have gotten that off my chest I do feel better, nothing like a good whinge, lol....

Oh Boy...

Finally moved all my scrapping stash out of my daughters room today. Well if you don't know my daughter moved out a while ago, so I moved all my scrapping stuff (oh I had my own studio at last, hooray) into her old room. Well just before Christmas she decided to move back in, grrrrrrr. Well I told her I wasn't going to do any moving until after Christmas. I kept putting it off and putting it off (poor kid was sleeping on a mattress on the floor), well the time came that I had to move out, so it was today....
I did get a layout started today so will show it when I have finished it.
Oh and I am really getting into 'Twilight' the book, enjoying it.

I have started reading this....

Started it last night and didn't put it down until midnight, so tired today....but I am going to read a bit more now...

Plus I have brought these as well....



Will have to pick up the last book in the series 'Breaking Dawn' as well so I have all of them...

Oh Not Well....

I have felt sick all afternoon, have the worst headache and a really queasy feeling in my stomach, it sucks feeling ill. So I am off to bed now, hopefully I will feel better in the morning....do have a layout to share but it can wait until tomorrow.

Oh PS...

I have had another small weight loss...only another 0.2kg, so that makes 0.5 so far. It is coming off slow but at least it is coming off...

Another Layout....

Not sure if the photo matched the papers I used but I like it.

I really wanted to use more embellishments on the layout but after sleeping on it last night I decided to leave it the way it was....well I am living up to my new year resolution, I have completed more layouts in the last 14 days then in 3-4 months last year, woo hoo I am on a roll, just have to keep it up...

52Q...

I have decided to take up the 52 Q...a year of questions and answers challenge over at *e*.



I like my front cover but am not sure of my answers which I have written on the back. I am going to put each weeks finished tag on a hinged ring for storage.
Well off to do some more scrapbooking....

Well....

all my hard work of exercising must be paying off, maybe not in weight reduction but in my size. I put on a pair of shorts yesterday morning that have always been tight on me.....
Well blow me down they were a lot looser....
So maybe I am not seeing the scales go down for now but clothes are showing that something is happening...
So I will keep at it...
Well I am off now to go and do some more scrapbooking, seeing as I am a 'tea scrapper'. Some of us girls over at D2U were having a discussion on how fast we scrap, and I am slow and like to brew, so thus I am a tea scrapper, lol. I wish I was more like some of the other girls 'coffee scrappers', instant and fast.

Another Small Loss...

Well as of today I have lost another 0.2kg so a total of 0.3kg. It is coming off very slow with a lot of hard work, and I hate exercise.....
But I will keep at it, I am determined to get to my goal weight.

finally the layout I was working on using the sketch from Stuck. Not sure about it! I think it needs something else....

Oh Gosh...

I have completely lost track of time....
I was going to get a layout finished today based on the sketch #69 over at 'Stuck' but you guessed it I haven't....
If I get off this computer I might get it finished...lol...tonight, so yes I am getting off and going to finish it.

I am pleased....

After exercising and watching what I eat for the last week my weight has finally come down by 0.1kg, I know it isn't much but hey I am excited, I only have another 9.9kgs to go.
I just have to stick with it, but boy is it hard sometimes....but I am determined this time to go the distance and lose the weight.
Well I just had to share that with you all...thanks for listening.

My Words...

Well....

I have taken down all our Christmas decorations...it is sad when they get put away for another year, Christmas is such a fun time of the year....
That corner of the lounge room looks so bare now....
Well at least now I won't have to worry about the cat climbing the tree anymore, lol....
Silly cat tired to help me to put everything away and just about got himself packed into the tree box....
Now I just have to scrap the photos I took on the day, if it anything like last years photos some are still there to be done....oh but hang on one of my new year resolutions is to scrap more so I better get to it and get them done, no putting it off any longer get in there and scrap....
Well off I go...

Oh Where Did The Year Go....

OMG....it is the first day of 2009....last year has gone so fast, it all seems a blur....
How did you see the new year in....did you go parting & celebrate with friends and family?
Or did you have a quiet night at home?
I went out for dinner with my family to celebrate our youngest dd birthday, then headed home for am early night....yeah I know we are not party animals....we are going away for a few days so had to be up early this morning and traveling with a headache and lack of sleep just doesn't work for me......
So I hope you all had a great night seeing in the new year...
